As stated above in the product description, it has a steel casing, a quartz movement and the matte black face effectively sets off the silvered hands and five-minute points all around the dial; there are no individual minute markers and the second sweep-hand has a red tip.
It comes in a plain black box with a white cardboard slip-cover, the watch presented on a black, faux-leather cushion with a multi-language instruction booklet.
The watch is unlikely to fit straight out of the box; the stainless steel bracelet has a nice, easy to open button on the clasp, but most people will require an adjustment to the bracelet – a link or two taken off by a jeweller to ensure a comfortable fit.
French Connection will do this free (there's an address in the instruction manual) but there's postage and insurance to consider, and do you really want to send it off in the post?
I took mine to a local jeweller – it's a while-you-wait job and (usually) for little cost.
The watch is a good time keeper (so far) and isn't particularly heavy; nicely dressy and functional.
I'm quite pleased with this; generally I rely on cheap, throw-away watches, but this is nice to wear when I'm not working.
The watch comes in a black cardboard box with a smooth finish. The French Connection logo is on the top of the box. The watch sits on a cushion and the box contains instructions and a silica gel damp absorber.
This has a stainless steel case with chunky stainless wrist band. The clasp is nice and very positive. The watch face is black with the company’s logo on it. The hour markers are silver. The hands are silver and the sweep second hand has a red tip.
I would consider the design to be understated and business like.
It will go with most things and probably best as a day watch for work and business.
It seems well made and has a mineral glass face. The bracelet seems a bit flimsy but it is not too heavy. Here I think you are paying for the brand logo as much as the watch.
A nice formal watch with the French Connection logo. It keeps perfect time and looks good with a business suite. The hour markers and hands are no luminous so it is difficult to see in poor light. I am happy to wear this for work.
The packaging is neat and classy - white surround (to keep the lid on) and black box, containing the watch, held steady by a funky pillow rather than a plastic holder, and the instructions (in 16 languages!). And it has a 2 year warranty, which is pretty good as most only have 1 year.
- The bracelet is chunky and moderately heavy.
- It has a matt, rather than shiny, finish.
- The clasp is excellent - simply push down on the button and it pops open.
- The bracelet is unlikely to fit, unless you have a large wrist - you can send it off to be resized (details are in the box), which will cost your postage plus £5 return postage, or take it to a local jeweler (worth calling a few as prices can vary quite a bit).
Comes in a small box with a white sleeve and an instruction manual.
Watch is stainless steel, black face with steel hands and markers.
Strap is steel linkages so you can send it off to get shortened, take it to a local jewellers or, if you have the right tools, do it yourself.
