Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

The processor runs at 1.10Ghz - 2.4Ghz burst (not Mhz). It has 2 USB 3.0 ports, a type C port, a micro HD, micro SD, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a 3.5mm 12V charge port, and the 256Gb hard disk is solid state, around 25-30Gb is used by the system. See Chuwi's specs on their home page (chuwi.com). The charger is 3.5mm concentric 12V connector (not usb C) and works OK (doesn't disconnect).
This is not an ultra fast processing tablet;it is a lower powered tablet for media type tasks with good keyboard and stylus included. I use it for note taking, emails, office tasks, web browsing and a bit of streaming (at which it excels). It recognises handwriting (just) but I get the impression its struggling to keep up, don't use voice recognition so cannot comment on that - I prefer to use the keyboard in any case. Cameras work (not used much).
It comes with Windows 10 64 home. The setup is straight forward and took an hour or so to run (pretty much the same as any other Win 10 box). The battery life I get is around 5 hours, depending on how you use it - I ALWAYS have it in battery saver mode (which is ideal for the above tasks); anything else and the battery life becomes very variable.
The power button is for turning it on from cold only - to shut down you use the windows key (or risk corrupting the system). I have had it hang on me once in a month- restarted a couple of times to fix it.
Good points:-
-Screen is bright, clear and very responsive to touch.
-Stylus is really useful (and included with the keyboard)
-Keyboard has positive feel, can touch type with it quite easily. Keyboard attaches really well (magnetic) and sticks over screen to protect it when not in use.
- Boots in 10 seconds or so, returns from sleep in 1-2 seconds.
-I love using it.
Bad points:-
- There is no manual to speak of and no online or built in user guide.
-The keyboard touchpad is a disaster (continually taking focus away (doing random things) it responds to windows 10 touchpad gestures and has a habit of opening context screens and apparently random applications. Attempting to click buttons with it is difficult because the pointer moves as you press down. It can be disabled easily (Fn+F6 - toggle touch pad) - the screen and stylus work really well so I get by without the touchpad.
-The power button; you have to press hard to get it to respond, and turning it off with the button causes the system to power down in an uncontrolled manner making the PC hard to restart. If you press it too hard it turns the PC on and off before you can respond.
-It's heavy. The form factor is good, it has a quality feel (it's made of aluminium, the screen seems really solid) but the tablet alone, without keyboard and sylus, weighs 800gms. Which is as per the spec, but a little surprising.
- Takes 2+ hours to recharge.
-Keyboard is US standard not UK
- Sound volume is very low, struggle to hear it if there is any background noise (to be expected for something this size?)
- Kickstand seems insubstantial (but not bent yet).
I have had it just under a month now, with no problems, and am very pleased with it. Which is just as well because Chuwi support doesn't look to be overwhelming (judging by their forum), am assuming Amazon can sort out any returns type issues (?). Battery Saver mode turns off icloud, mail syncing and some other clutter in the background (which is a benefit as far as I'm concerned), but otherwise all functions operate normally. I have not experienced the 'lack of power' some other users complain about - this not a fast machine, but for writing and browsing suits me!
At present (one month in) am really pleased with my purchase.
Two months in: Discovered it goes into sleep if you close the keyboard over the screen! - Excellent. Else nothing to add.
Couple of downsides, though not deal breakers (hence the 4 stars). First, the keyboard might be great, but the trackpad is awful. It moves the cursor fine but it doesn't click or tap consistently and multi touch gestures are hit and miss. Thankfully the touch screen and pen work well, but I recommend buying a mouse.
Secondly the handwriting recognition isn't great, not terrible but you wouldn't want to use it as your main text input option.
All in all a great tablet for Web browsing and office/school work which can do occasional photo or video editing
I have had so many issues with the keyboard and pen. The tablet works ok, can be sluggish but it never recognises the pen, pen doesn't seem to want to charge, plug it in for hours and within seconds it's stops functioning. The keyboard is possessed, swipe the trackpad and lucky is 90% time it goes to correct place on screen and then it very hit and miss when typing.
Battery also has degraded to a point you get maybe 2 hours at most without the charger.
When I first took it out of the box and set it up it was fine, for little bogged down over first few months but windows 11 sort of gave it new life.
Aside from having to keep it plugged in, so negates the portability I can't recommend
Due to this I had decided to simply use it as a sort of tablet that could download and PC files, so I have been using photoshop and bridge commonly as well as steam itch.io and web browsing. Witch for a time seemed fine, I could use it for simple work tasks like word and I could show people files that would commonly only be a PC file like psd or use it because I prefer to use a windows computer then a tablet for files.
However after about 6 months of light use a rather large issue has become quite clear, the terrible memory of this makes it really bad for a laptop, since it's only way of extending it is a memory card for a phone and not a proper ssd or hard drive and its built in memory is also small.
This is completely filled with light use, the files that are on this are work files so I would rather not delete them so I am left to choose, do I delete everything every 4-6 months and back them up externally or risk deleting work files.
This is not a problem I have had with any other laptop.
TLDR: dont use as a work laptop it fills up very quickly, plus the touch screen is not accurate enough for me.
