I loved this book I wanted to hate Carrie's brother but was Carrie's husband sorted him out you couldn't help liking him once he met Millie. The only thing wrong was it just was' t long enough but it still deserved five stars.

4.0 out of 5 stars Carrie's Mail Order Husband 1 Sept. 2013
By Midnight Attic Reader - Published on Amazon.com

After her father dies, Carrie is stuck on their farm with an abusive brother, and decides to advertise for a mail order husband, hoping a good man will come and save her from her problems, and she is happy when Colt accepts the proposal. I was very intrigued by this story line. A nice little twist to the traditional mail order bride scenario, and I really liked the way it was setup. The characters were very likable, though I felt the story was a bit rushed and at times sugar-coated. An enjoyable read!
3.0 out of 5 stars it seems as if the author was in a hurry to be done with the book 28 Feb. 2014

This could have been a very pleasant read. Clean and a sweet story where courage is rewarded with 'happily ever after'. As it is, it seems as if the author is in a hurry to be done with the book. Neither the characters nor the story were well developed.
5.0 out of 5 stars Carrie's Mail Order Husband 28 Oct. 2013
By SweetCaroline - Published on Amazon.com

This is a story that was a good read. Carrie was being beaten by her brother who wanted her farm. She got help by advertising for a mail order husband. There was a confrontation between the men and Raymond, the brother had to shape up or get out. His problem was alcohol. Carrie and her husband got along right away and he had money to get her some nice things and buy some livestock. He had a ranch in Minnesota. I Don't want to give too much away but this is a good story with happy endings for all. It is also a pleasure to read for a short story.
5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful!! 4 May 2014

Beautiful but way too short. It was unexpected, almost too good to be true. I like the fact that all ended well. I wish the writer had put more of the main characters feeling for each other when they actually saw each other for the first time. I wish there was more in the lovemaking scenes like Harlequin (mills and boon ) novels, while keeping the character of the book by not being dirty like erotic books. All in all it was a feel good book.
4.0 out of 5 stars mail order husband stories are fun 10 Oct. 2015

Carrie lost her father recently and then her angry, drunk brother started abusing her because he wanted the farm. She advertised for a Mail Order Husband and when Colt comes to town she is happy with her choice. First thing Colt does is straighten her brother up.

A happy short story.
