Product description

Product Description

`But Beautiful' - Elaine Delmar with Brian Dee, is a
collection of fifteen songs from an era that Elaine Delmar has adopted as
her main source of repertoire, songs from the Twenties and Thirties by the
great composers: Gershwin, Rodgers and Hart, Jimmy Van Heusen and Rodgers
and Hammerstein. She is accompanied by pianist Brian Dee in a studio
recording made in May 2000.

Elaine Delmar has triumphed in many areas of the entertainment world. She
has worked in cabaret and concert, in jazz clubs and at festivals. She has
appeared as an actress on stage, television and film. Her collabotator on
this album, Brian Dee, is a pianist and composer who has worked with the
best, including Zoot Sims, Ben Webster and Chet Baker and has accompanied
many singers including Bing Crosby and Peggy Lee.

`But Beautiful' shows that Elaine Delmar is a past-mistress of her chosen
craft and Brian Dee demonstrates that he is one of the best pianists
around.

Personnel:
Elaine Delmar - (vocals), Brian Dee - (piano), Ducan Lamont - (tenor
saxophone), Mario Castronari - (bass), Bobby Worth - (drums)
