From the Back Cover
Business Finance is an accessible introduction to decision making in firms - what investments a company should make and how they should be financed. Taking a user's perspective, this highly successful textbook blends the theoretical, analytical and practical aspects of the subject, providing an up-to-date introduction to finance and investment. The book sets out the theories surrounding financial decision making and relates these theories to what happens in practice, in the real world. Where theory and practice diverge, the book attempts to reconcile and explain the differences.
Now thoroughly updated in its 5th edition, Business Finance continues to be a readable, student-friendly text.

If you are new to business finance and need access to the fundamentals quickly, keep this book close at hand. The only fault I could find is that there are one or two paragraphs that could perhaps be written a bit more clearly (I'm being very picky here). For me, one major plus-point is that it leaves out all the glitz that you see in many other modern business books that often confuse and distract the reader from the content. All the essential information is there, laid out in a straightforward way with good progressive examples to support the theory. What more could you want?
