Dreadful, dreadful book! Very badly written and very poor content. I have to say I couldn't make it past the the third chapter, and that was a struggle. Don't waste your time on this nonsense, there are plenty of other, much better written tomes on this part of the world.

I have lived and worked in Dubai myself and visit 3-4 times a year and have been doing since 2001 and can relate to most of what Becky talks about. For me it's the best place ever! Enjoy!

Living in Dubai I could relate well to her personal experiences. However, this book lacks storyline around halfway but picks up towards the end.
OK if you have nothing else.

Everyone has a story and some are fun or interesting. THis falls between the two. Mildly amusing and somewhat educaitonal of a life beyond the norm and not always that good!

But I guess that just proves Becky's writing has improved. And of course she has grown up. Had I have read Burqalicious in my party days I may have found it funnier!
