I have written reviews on the puppy chicken and rice from burns, my dog who is 1 in a couple of weeks didn't have a great start in her previous home and came to us without a proper diet ( cat food and cat waste from what I gather ) and was very itchy and in poor condition.

After trial and error with another food I researched hypoallergenic foods and decided upon burns. It was between that, James wellbeloved and pets at homes equivalent. With the burns when your dog is happy on it, it works out really good financially to buy the 6kg as it's almost like getting a 2 kg bag free with the standard flavours although the fish is a little more expensive.

When I started the pooch on this ( and also maxxiomega oil) her scratching has improved quite considerably. She has a beautiful black coat that gets lots of comments. This is obviously not as enticing as meat and biscuits but our delightful pooch has a tendency to eat her own 💩 when she eats particularly smelly food....
Anyway back to this variety of the food, the kibble is quite big, I'm sure there is a small bite option but my dog is a lab x staffy but she's really petite- not even 16 kg but a small dog may struggle. The fish variety does smell quite fishy which I see as a positive as it is more palatable. With the other varieties, my pooch would look at it, look at me, practically roll her eyes and would only clear the bowl by the end of the day but this fish one she eats at least half when fed in the morning and it's gone by dinner and I've been giving her a little more late afternoon.
It's been trial and error but if complete food is your dogs thing, i highly recommend burns, the ingredients are all particularly well sourced and I like that this fish variety has salmon oil in it too.

Would not have my pooch on anything else, she absolutely loves the stuff and has die an amazing job to get her weight down a little to a more jack Russel esque weight. As soon as she hear me pouring it into her bowl she comes running! Photo attached just to show off my dogs cuteness!!

Recommended by the vet for my pug with food allergies.
The dog loves it and it doesn't exacerbate his skin and tummy problems.
Really good quality and natural ingredients too.
It is a little bit stinky so we store ours in a tin, getting used to it now though.

Our labrador was on allergy pills (for itchy skin), steroids (for sore paws), seaweed (for bad breath) eating chicken and pasta/rice (for digestion). He even had to go to dog hospital last year and was costing us a fortune. He wasn't looking well and had terrible dog to dog manners (heckles up). He went on his 'annual holiday' and stayed with a dog trainer who suggested Burns. Over 6 months we have got him off all the pills and potions (gradual reductions, steroids last) and he is now 'full of beans' and fine with other dogs. Hope it works for you too!

Burns Dog Food in general is the best dog food we have had so far. The dog loves it and what is best, he does not poop it all out, as it is the case with the cheap generic dog food.
The dog simply loves it. With generic dry food, he does not eat it right away and has to be prompted to go and eat. When he has Burns, he waits at his bowl and literally wolves it down like it is the last breakfast/dinner ever.

If you have not tried it before, it's about time.

I have a rotti/staff cross. I have always fed him raw tripe and just gave a handful of complete biscuits as a supplement. I used to give him a bog standard cereal based one, but I was concerned about his joints and that he suffered from excessive itching, so I looked for a healthier alternative and switched to Burns. It was 3 times the price of what I had been buying, but well worth every penny.

Some changes were immediately noticeable in that his stools became healthier (smaller and easier to pick up) and he began drinking a lot less water, which then meant he needed to wee less often too. Over a short period his shape changed considerably. He lost a lot of bulk from his hind quarters, became leaner, more agile and it seemed to take years off him. His coat is also good. I was amazed what a difference could be made from just a handful of biscuits! He has been on this same flavour for years now, and never tires of it. The small round pieces seem to add to his enjoyment as he gets to chase them around the bowl. I can't recommend this food highly enough.
