The book itself isn't in the best of conditions as it is an ex library reference book so I will give it 2/5 for condition. Whay I will say, however, is that the book is possibly one of the best books I have come across dealing with the genealogy of the British royal family and since it was published in 1972, an update is long overdue. Burkes reissue of Burkes Guide To the Royal Families of the World Volume 1 Europe in the next few weeks is awaited in anticiptaion.

As always with the Burke's Guides an excellent reference work; I purchased it because of one of the most detailed genealogical treatments of the Scottish and Welsh Royal Houses is given herein with references to other sources for those areas.

HASH(0x8e786828) out of 5 stars Possibly Burke's best publication 10 Aug. 2001
By Michael K. Smith - Published on Amazon.com
Following the obligatory rah-rah section on members of the present royal family (up to 1973, anyway), this volume is mostly a detailed lineage of all rulers of England, Scotland, and Wales, beginning with Cerdic the Saxon. Doubtful or questionable names or con-nections are carefully noted. From George II on, the list of descendants is complete and very detailed. An excellent reference tool, especially for the post-1700 period.
