Product Description

Crime drama/thriller based of the life and death of notorious American serial killer Ted Bundy. Corin Nemec stars as Bundy, whose four-year killing spree terrorised college campuses across America, giving rise to a cross-country manhunt by police. Later escaping not once but twice from police custody in order to continue his murderous habits, Bundy uses a variety of different identities and disguises to elude capture. He manages to find his way to Florida to commit one final murder before finally being caught and tried in a court of law, where he relies upon his law school education to defend himself in his own murder trial.

I must say that i almost switched the film off during the first scene in which Ted is talking to his future girlfriend in the collage hallway.I agree with most of RDL'S review particularly 'Ted appears to seem slightly retarded and grossly over-introverted'and overacted BUT with great lighting and camera work and interesting music the film picked up and i actual started to like it
The actor playing Bundy actually turned out to be a very powerful actor and had great presence,i dont think he played Bundy with any authenticity but the Bundy that he chose to play grew on me.
I actually liked the fact that they didnt focus too much on the murder scenes because we can get that from any cheap horror movie.
I hope one day Bundy will get the Zodiac treatment by somebody like David Fincher and we can get the ultimate movie experience.
And again the same as RDL....WHY CANT THEY GET THE COLOUR OF THE VW RIGHT???!!!!!
If anyone involved with the production of this film is reading this please write a reply,i dont understand how you can get such a huge detail wrong.....red?!!

Having read numerous books on Ted Bundy, it is easy to spot many glaring and obvious inaccuracies in this film. Firstly, the portrayal of Ted is very much over dramatised by the actor playing him. He makes Ted appear to seem slightly retarded and grossly over-introverted and you get the feeling the actor is not quite so comfortable in his role, or has taken the time to really get to know the person he is playing. The acting is also very lacklustre at best by everyone in this film. I can appreciate that the director is focusing more on how Ted became a serial killer, rather than the murders themselves. Fine. However, the whole scenes of Bundy's childhood and his relationship with Stephanie seem terribly rushed and diluted not to mention slightly inaccurate.

There are no real indications in the film of Ted's immaturity/lack of ambition - which is why Stephanie left him. The film shows none of this in any great detail. This somewhat spoils the film as there is no real build up or climax to anything - it just feels so weak from start to finish. Ted just appears to be drifting aimlessly, killing a few women - his motives it seems, are just the tip of the iceberg, no real depth to his character at all. Also the actor playing him thinks that he can make Ted appear frightening by pulling silly faces and altering his facial expressions to the point of embarrassment, it becomes laughable at some points. And how come they can never get the colour of the VW bug correct?! It was not red. In fact he had two - one '58 model in light brown and later a '68 in light blue. I'm digressing here...

Ok, there are one or two good points - some nice courtroom scenes where clearly the actor has mimicked Ted's swagger, arrogance and mannerisms.

`Bundy a legacy of evil` tells the story of Theodore Robert Bundy,a
serial killer who took the lives of at least 30 women in America. No
one ever would have suspected Bundy as he appeared to be smart, handsome
and very successful with the ladies. However underneath it all laid a
hidden,cold blooded killer.

This had all the potential to be a great movie, but inaccurate, clumsy
and full of plot holes. It has no faith to the true story at all.It skips
through important aspects of his life and doesn't even mention that his
final victim was a 12 year old schoolgirl.

I really would suggest buying Ted Bundy or The stranger beside me for a better
analysis of this man.

I was given this film as a gift as I have read many books and seen many films about Ted Bundy. I could not believe how inaccurate this portrayal was, everything was wrong even the colour of the car. The acting was done to the best of their ability given the hideous script. I find this lack of accuracy to be an insult to all those young women who lost their lives to Bundy, if you are going to do something then please do it right. If you are looking for a film that is accurate, well written and brilliantly acted then try watching The deliberate stranger staring Mark Harmon. Although this was a film about his crimes, I felt like it was just skimming the surface. I was hoping for an indepth look into it all. I think that this could have been made into two films, one about his crimes and one about his trial.
