About the Author
In the words of Christos Gage...
I was born in New York, then grew up in Athens, Greece and North Grafton, Massachusetts. Started reading at age 3, discovered comics soon after. First comic collected and saved: Marvel's Godzilla. Never quit comics for girls the way some flip-floppers do, though I did keep it in the closet at times, for which I am deeply ashamed.
Attended Brown University (here's a secret: the Ivy League is overrated) where I majored in American Civilization, a field that allowed me to take classes like The Blues and The Spy Novel, which have come in a lot handier in my life than algebra. Got a Master's Degree in Screenwriting from the American Film Institute.
Sold my first screenplay in 1997 and have been a professional writer ever since, with several scripts sitting on shelves gathering dust and a few actually produced. Started writing comics in December 2004.
Married to the lovely Southern firecracker Ruth Fletcher Gage, who is my writing partner in film and television, though she had enough sense to stay away from Teenage Caveman. We have plans to collaborate on two graphic novels in the future. We live with our cats, Frankie and Josie. The author lives in Los Angeles, CA..

The rebirth of magic has resulted in changes to the old rules of magic, and the new rules have yet to be written. Fortunately, Buffy has the very book that the rules have to be written in to be `cannon' - "Vampyr", given her by Giles before his recent death. Fortunately, thanks to Faith, he is back, albeit as a mini-me with a strange attraction to computer games and cleavage. Since the new vampires are showing Dracula-like powers, Xander and Dawn are sent to fetch the Lord of Vampires back to San Francisco to help out. Luckily, Kennedy has lent the team an executive jet that lets them pop about without straining continuity and their pockets - unlike many TV and comic-book series. Much humour is generated by the Dracula- Xander relationship, though Andrew is eventually promoted to the position of new manservant.
Anyway, as it turns out, Dracula got to be the boss of vampires simply by force of will, and he and Xander use the book to promote him to being the supreme vampire.Read more ›
I'm conscious that the 3rd volume, "Love Dares You", has been getting rave reviews on the internet about now and I would be confident that there is much better stuff to come, because Gage has shown he can write. As an introductory arc, this is okay.
