Your books do not disappoint and always keep you turning the page. I couldn't put it down!
Brutally Beautiful is brilliant written with strong, likeable, loveable characters...and I now have a book hangover...
If you haven't read this or any of Christine Zolendz's work, I can highly recommend you do!! You won't be disappointed!!
A well deserved 5 stars!
the minute Kade' s story came out and they seemed to be going to get together I stopped being bothered...and I realised that after we knew about Kade' s story and feelings I wasn't that connected to Sam and hearing her story.
Unfortunately I am struggling to pinpoint why this is....so I can't give productive constructive feedback...it's just how I felt.
Samantha was an amazing character. So calm and collected when facing a storm. On the outside it looks like nothing fazes her but on the inside she’s screaming. Scared her past is going to catch up to her and hurt the ones she cares about. She is so strong and caring, speaks her mind and tries to do what’s best even if it’s not what she wants.
Kade is a man with a horrific past, lone survive of a massacre, he’s stuck in a bad place. He may have survived but he is no longer the person he was. He’s dark and twisted. He doesn’t see things as normal people would. He’s devoid of emotion and prefers solitude. I wept for Kade a lot, the poor man. To have survived what he went through and feeling guilty for it would be torture. Hiding himself away from others because he believes it’s best for them, who can live like that? I loved Kade, he may be damaged but underneath it all he’s spectacular!!
Brutally Beautiful was so dark and twisted but heartwarming and beautiful at the same time, I guess that’s the point though eh? With the title and all. It’s definitely a book that will cause you to shed a tear or three, so much heartache and devastation, truly breathtaking.
A woman on the run.
A man haunted, bitter and alone.
A passion that transcends logic and self-preservation.
Samantha Matthews, bloodied and beaten she ends up with her best friend working as a waitress in a strip joint in the middle of nowhere. Nothing left to dream about, everything crashed and burned around her and the demons are still chasing after her. But she keeps on living.
Kade Grayson, survived an unimaginable tragedy. A horror. And his life ended that day. A shell of man, bitter, he pretends to be a monster to go through everyday interaction. A successful writer, he transforms his nightmares into words to keep going.
That is until his eyes meet a pair of green ones.
On to the next...
This is my second book by this author and the last! "both" had sex scenes with OW in it This author is just not for me!
