'Terry Harrison will introduce you to some new and valued friends... I particularly like the notes that accompany the demonstrations that give details of which brushes are used to what effect; tips for creating big brush skies and all those elemental techniques that help so much to build pictures of interest and diversity.' About the Author
In 1996 Terry won the prestigious Fine Art Trade Guild award for the 'Best Up and Coming Artist'. Terry Harrison became interested in art early on, attending Art School at the age of sixteen. His studies led to a career in graphics, then he became an illustrator, developing his own painting style and perfecting his techniques during evenings and weekends. Demand grew for his paintings and he soon gave up his 'day job' to paint full time. Now he is kept constantly busy with a full schedule of exhibitions, private commissions, demonstrations and painting holidays. His fine art prints are sold in shops and galleries everywhere and he has recently opened a successful art gallery where he displays and sells his paintings. Terry is an energetic and prolific painter and his regular re-bookings for demonstrations reflect an enthusiastic response to his educational and entertaining style.

He starts with the tools you will need and then how to use them. He shows you a few scenes to complete and talks you through each one. And you can flip back through the pages if you get stuck.
Can't recommend this book enough especially if you are keen and need somewhere to start.
A great deal of information on many aspects of watercolour techniques..... and is a great help to both the beginner and the more experienced !
Beautifully illustrated with the artists' own work , these examples of Terry Harrisons' skill are a valuable lesson in themselves , a vast amount can be learned simply by looking at how his "finished painting " along with his descriptive tips ...." turn out" on the paper !
The chapter on the brushes alone is reason enough to buy this book ! The additional coverage on masking techniques is given more coverage than most books offer.... and the numerous tips on many other aspects of watercolouring are a great help too !
On the whole ...a great addition to any library !
people look through an theres always one that wants one. My friend is thrilled with the book, an got stuck
in straight away.

I love all the books. The one that stands out the most is Wendy Tait's Watercolour Flowers. The service is excellent. Very happy in all.
