You don't get double-sided printing with it though (something I didn't realize until I had it)! The software doesn't support it, unless you manually set it to print odd numbered pages, then even numbered in reverse (or whatever the procedure is)... a pain, and since the paper tray is below you can't really print on one side then turn the pages over without taking everything out etc.
Still, you get a printer that works quickly and uses inexpensive ink. Wifi works fine across one router to a XP and a Win7 machine, and on different floors. No problems whatsoever. Even scanning documents interestingly!
If it had automatic duplex it'd probably be the best on the market for this price.
I was considering 5 stars because of the ease of setting up the wireless connection in comparison to other major wireless brands in the same price range and also because of the clarity of the manual. However, I opted for 4 stars for two reasons. Firstly, the linux driver provided by Brother is for 386 machines. Now, it is possible to force-install it (Brother's website provides a good description) on a 64 machine, but it depends on the set-up of the machine. Secondly, while Brother again provides a good app for Android systems (and it is appreciated) it is rather limited and rather contrary in deciding which file it is willing to print (also there is a maximum size) - while 3rd party applications are quite willing to print any of them on this printer (with generic drivers).
But no doubt, this is an excellent printer.
Altogether an impressive, stylish product at an affordable priced. Need I add that the delivery service could not be faulted.
It took me a while to set up my wireless laptop and PC but after the intial frustration everything is now working properly, I know I should have read the instructions more carefully!
Print quality good and photos came out very well. I have also tried the fat print to save ink and this is readable for more documents. A good little printer that sits very nicely on my shelf above my PC!
