HASH(0x97639f9c) out of 5 stars Happy Feet ! 18 Sept. 2013

I am a runner somewhere in between "weekend warrior" and "fanatic". I average about 35 miles a week and have run a few marathons. Unfortunately over the last year I have suffered several repetitive stress injuries (IT band issues and tendonitis). I am a neutral /slight under-pronator and had been running in Brooks Pure Flow shoes.. a somewhat minimalist shoe with only 4mm of drop. I decided to go back to a simple support type shoe and I am glad I did. The shoes are fairly light weight with ample cushioning and a generous toe box. After about 80 miles they show little signs of wear. Buying shoes online can be a gamble but I can say that this is a pretty sure bet for a neutral trainer.

Update:
I now have about 400 miles on these shoes and I still have no complaints.

HASH(0x98ffd3b4) out of 5 stars Like a trainer but with more cushioning 12 Oct. 2010

I had been running in Newtons until I had a calf problem and needed a shoe that supported a mid foot strike better. I was able to go to these without having the feeling of heavy, over supportive shoe. I am on my 2nd pair and they have been very comfortable even without socks when I have used them in triathlons. They are very light and breath better then most shoes I have run in here in South Texas. A great shoe if you are looking for what feels like a training flat with more cushioning.

HASH(0x9830457c) out of 5 stars Gratest road running shoe 10 April 2011

Possibly the best road running shoe I ever got, I simply love them. Comfortable like no other, soft cushioning, great dynamic sensations, enough support and a perfectly smooth ride always and in many different terrains. I'm mostly a trail runner and use them for purposes they were not designed for, and even out there on the trails, when not overly technical or rocky, they're also perfect.

HASH(0x9830418c) out of 5 stars Did my research, got a great shoe 5 Feb. 2010

I'm training for my first marathon and realized how crucial it was to have a good running shoe. You're more likely to pick a bad pair if you first don't do some research. There seems to be an unending amount of reviews for most shoes, but if you don't know where to start, go to your local news stand and flip through a runners magazine--you can usual find at least one of the periodicals featuring a shoe comparison.

As for these Brooks, I'm 5'9" 150 lbs with a normal arch and neutral pronation. While training I've been logging 30+ mile weeks and I've been on these Brooks for a month. Out of the box, I ran 6 miles with no problems. At first, the soles felt a little soft but they were responsive and I adjusted quickly. The upper is super breathable and the shoe is lightweight; which, for someone my size with a long way to run are two very important things.

I have the Glycerin 10 that I use for long distance running and I wanted just another shoe for casual running and working out. This was a Homerun. Great comfort and incredibly light and comfortable . I am really becoming sold on Brooks Products.
