There is a real trend for this type of book at the moment, told through a child's eyes. Sally Grindley does an amazing job at it in this book.
Life is good for the two brothers in the story. They have a happy life in a well off Indian family until one day their father looses his job. The father slips into depression and begins to take it out on his family. The two boys, believing their father's depression is their fault, runaway.
The story follows the steep learning curve they follow adapting to life on the streets and the difficult moral choices made on the way.
Another book I couldn't put down.
