Brandy Nacole resides in Arkansas where her imagination runs wild. Her obsession is reading but her passion is writing. She finished out her degree in psychology but traded her dream of writing for the degree and put psychology on the back burner. Whenever she’s not reading or writing, Brandy is spending time with her family and friends, throwing around crazy ideas, and laughing through the crazy moments.

What do you get if you throw together a vampire, angels, hellhounds and some strong willed humans? One hell of a fun ride, that’s what. So hold on tight for a fun read with this intriguing group of supernaturals that like to mix things up. So with this book you actually get to be in four different peoples head throughout (Kayson, Sabrina, Emma and Falon’s) so if you don’t like jumping back and forth between many characters then this might not be for you. Any more characters jumping in though would disjoint the story too much. It works with what it has so let’s hope the rest of the series stays with the pattern and doesn’t introduce any others.

Well this story starts as it means to go on with a battle between heaven and hell. There are those that are meant to be enemies because of what they are, not how they act. It’s due to one angel’s new outlook on the lives of vampires that were turned by second-generation vampires, and not directly from the firsts blood, though that sets the tone for the whole book. Kayson’s story starts with a fight to the death, its either going to be him or a hellhound. Ends up being a close call but the fallen angel is one up at this point. Danger is coming faster and harder as a result now though, as before he killed the hellhound he let out the hell call to draw all others to him due to a fallen angel being found. They are coming make no mistake so his only hope is to trust the help of the one person who should be his enemy, a vampire Sabrina.

Sabrina has been hiding from the world for decades. Keeping to the shadows, only surviving off the blood of animals. Not that she has always done so. Her master turned her against her will and didn’t inform her that there was another way.

I'm a big fan of Angel stories. Heaven and Hell intrigues me so much, it's pretty much an insta-buy if I see it on the cover so I was delighted to be accepted to review Brandy Nacole's new series "Spiritual Discord" of which Broken Faith is part one. I'm going to say straight off one of the things I loved most about this book was the lack of a love triangle. Yes there were hints of one that inwardly made me groan but I realised quickly that it was actually just normal reactions and feelings to good looking men and women that were quickly brushed aside for the more pressing matters at hand like...life and death. Thumbs up already.

The story is told from multiple POV's but the majority by three characters. Sabrina, a vampire who was turned in the 1800′s, Falon, a fallen angel who turned his allegiance to Lucifer and became a Hell-Hound, the feared and ruthless hunters of blood-children -half bloods of Lucifer's original kin and Emma, a normal human college student struggling to make ends meet who is pulled into a struggle between heaven and hell. The story centres around Kayson, a fallen Angel who is being hunted by Falon and is helped by Sabrina and Emma, keeping him safe from his hunters after he is gravely wounded by one of Falon's brethren. Sabrina, a vampire who has struggled for years against her base nature to kill and drain humans, again goes against her initial fear of Angels and heaven and helps Kayson when she comes across him whilst trying to survive on animal blood and hiding from humans. Their relationship from the start was warming and sweet as Sabrina struggles to understand Kayson, why he made the decision to fall and why she herself stays with him despite the danger she is risking to herself.

Broken Faith is the first in Brandy Nacole's Siritual Discord series, and I immediately found myself immersed in the fantasy world she weaves, where Lucifer and his Hell Hounds govern the paranormal species, meaning Vampires and Fallen Angels are hiding and on the run - yet humans continue their lives ignorant of the war!
The narrative is told from four different points of view: Emma, the human; Falon, the Alpha hound; Kayson, the Fallen Angel and Sabrina, the Vampire. These stories all become intertwined in very important, dangerous and touching ways.
Although the story deals with issues of 'faith', particularly Kayson's, and subsequent fall from heaven, Brandy Nacole does not promote any religious beliefs, instead I feel the questions she raises are more concerned with human nature.
Broken Faith is a story about loss, love, friendship and hate, with a pace that changes as the drama heightens. Each character has a strong personality, and I feel that Brandy Nacole wants her reader to take sides in the battle.
I am definitely looking forward to the second book in the Spiritual Discord series and recommend this to fans of fantasy/para-romance.
This was given to me as a review copy, but this has had no influence on my opinion.

HASH(0x922483a8) out of 5 stars One Of the Best Books So Far This Year!!! 2 April 2013
By Alicia - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
I received a ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. Everything you are about to read is my full and honest opinion about the book!

OMG! Brandy Nacole never seems to disappoint~! This was AMAZING!!! In this new Spiritual, Supernatural twist, has took me on a ride like NO other and BLOWN ME AWAY! Just like all the other books Brandy has written! This one Truly ROCKED!

When I first read the synopsis I was a little skeptical, not because it didn't sound good because it sounded amazing, but because I'm not really one to get into books about heaven and hell, God and Lucifer. It's just never been my thing! But finally I caved, and the description won me over, and I gave it a try! And Boy am I glad I did because this book ranks up there with my top favorite books of the year! But that's no surprise because Brandy seems to always be on my top favorite list of books! :-)

This book starts off on full speed! As soon as the Prologue starts were thrown into an amazing action scene! This book has four different POV, but is still very easy to follow. I usually don't like different POV's in a book, but the way Brady has done it she has truly captivated me!

Heaven and Hell is gonna collide in this action packed Spiritual novel!

Kayson is a Fallen Angel that searches earth for something he believes in, and is eager to prove that his beliefs are true (I don't want to tell you what his beliefs are because it will spoil the book)! He has been running from the Hell Hounds since he has fallen from heaven and their about to finally catch up to him!

Sabrina is a Vampire, who is also on the run from the Hell Hounds sought out to destroy ALL blood children created by Lucifer's blood, and Sabrina is one of them! She is a half breed. She was created by one of Lucifer's blood children but not by his direct blood. So she did NOT pledge her loyalty to Lucifer! She has been able to escape from their grasp many of times and also has been hiding while trying to stay off the hounds radar for over a hundred of years and hasn't got caught yet! But all that changes when Kayson and Sabrina's lives collide!

Emma is just a human girl living her normal everyday life when she discovers a fallen Angel and a Vampire hiding out in her parents shed! But Emma's normal life is about to change when Hell comes knocking on her door! Emma is confused and lost about her feelings of the Angel and the Vampire. Are they real, and if so she could be in a wholes*** load of trouble! She doesn't know if she should stay and help or turn them away to their fates with the Hounds! What can she do, she's just a normal human with no powers or no super strength!

Falon is a Fallen Angel also or should I say use to be a fallen Angel! He is now next in command after the devil himself! He is Alpha to all Hell Hounds set out to destroy ALL blood Children of Lucifer's! He wants Kayson and he wants him BAD! He is willing to destroy anyone or anything that gets in his way!

So will Kayson and Sabrina be able to evade Falon's Hounds and prove Kayson's beliefs are true or will Falon succeed in bringing the Angel and Vampire to their demise??? And will Emma have enough courage to help in a battle between Heaven and Hell that's been brewing for hundreds and hundreds of years??? Well if you want those answers and more your going to have to read it and find out! Trust me you WON'T be disappointed I wasn't!

Overall this book is a MUST READ for anyone that likes Vampires, Angels and other kinds of crazy Supernatural Beings with a TON of action and just a touch of romance! This book is an EASY 5 stars! I can't wait for the sequel because this book ends on one hell of a cliffhanger!

HASH(0x911ea174) out of 5 stars Good story but a slow read. 30 July 2013

I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review.
This is the second novel by Brandy Nacole that I have read and she has this amazing ability to combine numerous types of paranormal in one story and nail it every time. I really loved the concept behind this novel but the actual story was a little slow for me. I enjoyed how the author tricks you into thinking that here will be a love triangle but then bam there isn't lol. There were a few parts at the end of the novel that made me want to find out more about what the heck is going to happen in book two. Also I really enjoyed the change in POV's because it was done very well and you didn't miss out on anything.
I liked all of the characters and I was especially excited when we got to learn their backgrounds and how they ended up where they are now.it just made me want to get to know each of them better, even the bad dudes lol. I loved that right at the end of the book we were introduced to a new character, so in a way it was a cliffhanger.one character in particular has me very curious what his story is. Also a certain mind reading vampire really made me curious about some other characters because she learned things about them that they hadn't told anyone and I want to know if they ever will.
This was a pretty good book besides it being slow. I will continue on with this series because I need to know what will happen to all of these characters. I would recommend this book to lovers of everything paranormal.

HASH(0x90e28dec) out of 5 stars Fell for the wrong type of girl 9 April 2013
By olliy - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I thought the basis for the book was captivating. The whole good vs evil with a twist was so creative. Brandy Nacole's idea of Fallen Angel's and Hell Hounds was a new concept for me to read. I deeply enjoyed the character's feeding off one another making the story richer. The bond Emma's friends have even with the difficult moments made the book. Kayson and Sabrina's story was enjoyable but I found that Emma's just had more depth and love in it.
That was the only thing holding up the 4th star for me. I wanted to feel Kayson's love for Sabrina evolve. The yearning undying need to be together just wasn't there for me. This being said I have no holds on reading Brandy Nacole's next book.

HASH(0x90fee6a8) out of 5 stars Nacole’s “Broken Faith” is a spiritual journey that takes readers on a ride through the realms of heaven and hell right here on 3 April 2016
By Itsy Bitsy Book Bits - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
“Broken Faith” is the first book in the Nacole’s Spiritual Discord Series and the first of Nacole’s that I have read. She hooks you from the prologue and keeps you entranced with this young adult paranormal book. Nacole presents her characters as angels, hell hounds that are shifters, vampires, and humans. Her heaven vs. hell theme brings us a series that everyone can read, even if the paranormal novels aren’t your normal cup of tea.
Sabrina is a vampire trying to remain hidden from everyone and everything for the past 100 years. She stumbles upon Kayson, a fallen angel, who has lost his faith in God. He is hurt badly in the woods and, even though they are sworn enemies, she decides to help him. She takes him to a quiet house in a quiet neighborhood and sneaks them into a shed of a house where no one seems to be home. Sabrina needs to hide Kayson and herself from the hell hounds, otherwise known as demons ruled by Lucifer, that are out to destroy any and all vampires and angels. However, Kayson and Falon, the Alpha hound, have a history and this makes the situation that much dire. While Sabrina and Kayson are hiding from the hounds, Emma, part-time waitress and college student, arrives at her parents’ home to water the plants while they are out of town. While she is there, Emma discovers her paranormal visitors and now things really get interesting! After learning about this complicated, surreal world that Sabrina and Kayson are from, Emma has trouble digesting all of this new information. Once she processes everything and confides in her bestie, and secret crush, Briston, Emma vows to help Kayson and Sabrina. Though she has an immediate connection with the fallen angel, her relationship with the vampire is strenuous at first. Sabrina isn’t sure if they can trust a human and she knows that Kayson has a “thing” for her even though they are supposed to be enemies and Sabrina has no soul.
Nacole’s “Broken Faith” is a spiritual journey that takes readers on a ride through the realms of heaven and hell right here on Earth. Throughout this novel, we see the faith that is broken in Kayson and how Sabrina, Emma, and Briston help him regain his faith. I can’t wait to read the second book in the Spiritual Discord series!

I was provided with an ARC of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Falon, the Alpha comes across initially as simply the Big-Bad without much depth but as the story unfolds and Kayson drops hints as to his relationship with Falon, we realise how much more complex he is and by the end of the story I was drawn in and look forward to finding out more about him in book two.

Emma, a sweet college student who was forced to put her dreams of being a dancer on hold after her brother betrays the family and cleans out her bank account, is simply trying to get by. Fitting in college with a part-time job, hanging out with best friends Briston and Braylee, she has no idea of the danger she finds herself in when she literally stumbles across Sabrina and Kayson hiding from their enemies. Their dynamic was one of my favourite parts of the book as Sabrina and Emma butt heads over how best to keep Kayson safe whilst making plans for their survival.

At times it feels that there are too many secondary characters lurking around that don't really need to be there. Perhaps they play a bigger role in the subsequent books but it was frustrating to try and keep track of them. There was also an ease of acceptance for the bizarre situation they all found themselves in at the end which wasn't very believable and detracted from the core story.

For me the relationship between Sabrina, Kayson and Emma (and Briston) was the best and most enjoyable part of the plot. I did feel that perhaps it needed a bit more editing. This was due to the pacing of the book, I felt it flowed very well except there seemed at times to be more waiting around to do things rather than actually doing them and it was a relief when the mission finally got under-way. There were some typos and formatting issues however it's an ARC so I would never detract "points" for that.

One part of the book that I fervently hope will be explored in more detail in later books was the information gleaned by Sabrina when she has to perform a coercive technique on some of the characters. There were hidden details from their past brought up that I hope was done so for a reason, possible in relation to the Hell Hounds.

I found the back story of Heaven and Hell really interesting and loved Sabrina's past and Kayson's reasons behind his fall.

All in all I thought it was a great story, well thought out, setting up for a great sequel in particular in relation to Emma whose final chapter gave me chills and I await more in great anticipation.
