Product Description

The intensely smooth taste of Brockmans is quite distinct from the typical dry and juniper infused London style of Gins. The notes of coriander and citrus marry with the softer tones of blueberry and blackberry to create a distinctively new taste

Discovered this fabulous gin at the Newcastle Gin Festival last summer. Just so delicious; very fruity with a wonderful aroma, smooth and very refreshing. Garnish with pink grapefruit and blueberries, lots of ice and a good tonic. Heaven!

This one of several reviews I will be doing of various gins.

I have something of a gin habit and rather geekily score gins for both g&t and martini on a spreadsheet (I mix 1:5 with a twist of lemon, well I don't mix it myself thats what husbands are for ) . I score out of ten and I give my go to gin (Bombay London) a 5 out of 10 to act as a baseline to judge against. We score more than once so I get an idea of how they taste over different times and occasions. Please remember these scores are personal and what I like you might not.

So on to Brockmans

G&T 8/10
Martini 4/10

The black textured bottle is very striking and would look good as a gift.

The G and T is superb. You can really taste the berries in this gin and we serve it with blackberries for preference, but raspberries and blueberries are also good. I see that a few reviewers suggest pink grapefruit so I am keen to give that a try too.

For the martini we have paired it both with Noilly Pratt and Tesco's own brand vermouth. In both the berry flavour was overpowering, but more so with the Tesco. The martini is not to our taste, not to say it won't be to yours.

Whilst this isn't a cheap gin it is so good in a g&t it is definitely on our buy again list.

I'm a big fan of gin in its many variations. This is a lovely smooth drink, but is almost unrecognisable as a gin because of the over-riding berry flavour. Maybe I'm old-fashioned, but I like a hint of juniper in my grain spirit based drink. Gin Mare, Tanqueray 10, Silent Pool and The Botanist are some of my favourites. This one doesn't make the list.

I love this gin, and so do my non-gin loving friends. It has a unique flavour, and is great mixed with Canada Dry, especially if you can get a few blackberries in the glass too. It's really refreshing and a great all year round drink. Even when mixed with tonic or lemonade it still has more of a non-ginny taste, almost more berry like.

Best gin I've ever tasted - and there have been a few. Also big hit with all my friends. We now ask for a brockmans and tonic it's so good. Hard to get hold of in bars though. Serve with orange slice as that compliments the aromatic flavour of the gin.

One of the finest gins I've had the pleasure of drinking. Sure, it's a bit dearer than some of your high-street brands, but it's so fragrant and refreshing that you should easily look past the price and think about your enjoyment. It's definitely the right choice for a treat or with guests.

I bought this Gin after recently trying it in a Gin bar. well what can i say, it sets its self apart from all other Gin's with its distinct berry taste, its perfect in any weather. I recommend the Brockmans Tom Collins which is excellent. The recipe can be obtained off the Brockmans website.
