FIVE OF THE BEST ACTION MOVIES EVER MADE featuring the bravest and most daring British Heroes. From subterfuge to kidnap, self-sacrifice in battle and near death experiences, our Heroes show what it means to be British and brave.
The Wild Geese- Film Legend Richard Burton leads 'The Wild Geese' a group of crack mercenaries who land and in a remote and hostile corner of Africa to free the popular leader of the resistance from a heavily guarded prison. However, sinister forces in the corridors of power have done a deal with the corrupt government, leaving the mercenaries stranded, their escape route cut off. Forced to flee across treacherous terrain, they battle the marauding armies who will stop at nothing to prevent them completing their mission
Zulu Dawn- In 1879, the British Colonies, in response to the perceived threat of the Zulu Nation, deliver a deliberately unacceptable ultimatum to the King who responds by putting his people on a war footing. Confident in their weapons technology and organization's ability to crush the seemingly outclassed primitive enemy, the British invade Zululand. General Lord Chelmsford sends in hundreds of British troops in order to squash the spear-carrying Africans with superior fire power. The sheer number of Zulus, however, overwhelms the British infantry.
Ashanti- David (Michael Caine) is a UN doctor, working in African aid camps alongside his wife and colleague Anansa who is from the Ashanti tribe herself. While swimming in a lake near the aid camp, she is kidnapped by slave traders. They are sure they will get a high price for her from their best customer, wealthy Arab prince (Omar Sharif). David sets off to find her, helped along the way by Brian (Rex Harrison) a British anti-slave campaigner. They trace her across the African continent and into the Arab territories, facing danger every step of the way.

Games for Vultures- David Swansey (Harris) is hired by the Rhodesian government to arrange purchase and transportation of a number of helicopters, for use against terrorists. He and a group of Rhodesians arrange to make a raid on the airbase where the disassembled helicopters are located, to 'steal' them by air. Gideon Marunga an insurgent and leader in raids against the Rhodesian Army learn's of the plan and applies political pressure to halt the sale, which fails. The insurgents instead attack the base while the theft is taking place, destroying many of the aircraft. In the heat of the final battle Swansey and Marunga come face-to-face. Marunga wearily demands to know 'Who's winning?' Swansey, shakes his head. 'Nobody. Nobody's winning.'
