Format: Audio CD
I really enjoyed this CD. It's packed with brass band arrangements of classic British compositions and traditional tunes. I was particularly pleased by the track merely labelled "Greensleeves (trad)". This is not just another soppy rehash of the over-familiar melody, but actually an arrangement of Vaughan Williams' magnificent "Fantasia on Greensleeves". There is a wide variety of pieces covering all parts of Britain, and the whole thing ends with a dazzling version of Holst's Jupiter from "The Planets". Highly recommended!

Just what I wanted. As I originally come from South Yorkshire, I am a fan of Grimethorpe Collery Band.

Love all brass bands but especially grimethorpe colliery.
Saw them in person years ago. Used to go to Kneller Hall Twickenham
to hear the Military Bands. Wish there were more bands touring as you
don't hear of many. Anyone know of any coming up?
