Orson, excellent first single followed up by this, their debut album.

And what a stormer it is! If you're expecting more of "No Tomorrow"-a-likes then you will be disappointed. Most of the songs are not like that one but then again that is no bad thing when confronted with the quality of the rest of the songs!

While "Bright Idea" is a relatively understated opener, it follows with "No Tomorrow". "Happiness" is a classic slice of Orson class while other highlights are "Already Over", "So Ahead Of Me" and "OK Song".

While listening to this album I realised they sound very much like one of my favourite bands, Marvelous 3.

Seriously, if you like this album, I strongly suggest you get Marvelous 3's "Hey! Album" and/or "Ready Sex Go". Very similar musically and lyrically.

A great debut from an exciting new band, lots of uplifting songs that get you movin g and have lyrics worth listening to, American, but coming to Britain to find a fan base... I could be talking about the Scissor Sisters or the Killers, but you can now add Orson to that list.

This is a great album, well written, relentlessly uplifting and with some superb pop hooks. No Tomorrow is pretty well known by now and on it'd way to being the pop hit of the year, but there are plenty more great tracks here too... My personal pick for a future single would be Already Over.

In short, get this, you'll enjoy it whether you want to or not!!

Being a big Folk music fan this aint normally my cup of tea...But this album is great! It hits home and gives you that all round good feeling! Starting the album with a nice paced track like "bright Idea" is perfect, it gives you a good feel for the album and eases you in gently! No tomorrow is obviously the Hit, but dont be fooled thinking this song is a one hit wonder, its anything but. My advice is buy it, its perfect for a nice days drive down the coast! Sunroof open, windows down, music UP!

After hearing No Tomorrow on the radio and catching my self singing the same 2 lines over and over i finally decided to buy the album- and its just briliant, full of painfully heartfelt lyrics and really catchy tunes, this hasnt left my stereo for weeks, and nor shall it for months yet.

One of my big regrets is that Orson (unless someone can tell me differently) only made two albums. I love them!! This album is upbeat and I love to sing along with it, much to my childrens (and probably neighbors) chagrin. Obviousely music is a very personal thing but my taste is quite diverse and this may be a little 'poppy' for hardened rockers, but I also love the Foo's, Killers, Kaiser chiefs, Zeppelin, Lizzy, Nickleback etc etc and Orson are right up there with them!!

This album has got to be one of the best released so far this year.. apart from greats such as The Kooks.. the lyrics are heartwarming and free from negativity and are simply fantastic.

Every song has its own purpose.. with "Last Night" likely to be included in the best remembered songs.. buy it!

I first discovered Orson totally by mistake, having got the kick off time of a football match wrong and turning over to BBC1 in the middle of a showing of "Davina" instead. I settled down to ignore it for half an hour and wait for the football until she introduced her musical guests and I was hooked by Orson's "No Tomorrow". The following day, I set about finding a copy of any album they may have released; only to discover there wasn't one.

I was just on the verge of making the most delayed impulse purchase ever when my flatmate came home with the CD, having made a similar purchase to help a long car journey from the South West to home. I was not reassured when, on asking to borrow the album, I was told I could keep it. Admittedly, the start of her journey had been quite a long way from home, but for an album to turn someone against it so fast is not an encouraging sign, especially when her purchase had been influenced by a love of "No Tomorrow", as mine would have been.
That said, my tastes are a lot more forgiving of pop music than hers are, so I figured I'd like it more than she did.

Sadly, that could be said of the whole album, with a couple of notable exceptions. Apart from the absolute brilliance of "No Tomorrow" and the amusement value in the lyrics to "Save the World", there is very little here to elevate this album above the mundane. If you're a fan of the new breed of indie-pop in general and OK Go or the like in particular, you may find you enjoy this album, but if you're a fan of "No Tomorrow", you'd be much better advised to obtain a copy of that song or the single from somewhere and forget the rest of the album, as it will be a let down.

I have been waiting for this album for about a year now. Those guys have been without record label for quite some time and the only place to find some of their tracks is on their own page (Orsonband.com). Listen for yourself.

They are the best US band since the Killers.

If you are smart you see them live in the UK before they really hit the charts.

Can't wait until they tour the US.
