Product Description

About the Author

When apprenticed to the Queen's saddler and harness maker, Robert Steinke passed his City and Guilds exams at the Cordwainers College, London. Subsequently his work has been exhibited all over the world. Always fascinated by cameras, the author developed a flair for photography when he needed pictures for his mail-order business. When living in Brittany he started to devote more time to equestrian journalism and photography, pursuits he has continued in Ireland where he now lives with his wife Jenny, and his horses.

Top Customer Reviews

Format: Hardcover
Robert H Steinke imparts knowledge and common sense to his readers in a no nonsense style. Whether novice or professional, this book is a must as it provides, clear, concise and invaluable information.
I have used this book as a guide to purchasing leatherworking tools and starting up a modest business/hobby, although I am by no means an experienced leatherworker, having Mr Steinke's book close to hand points me in the right direction.
Bridlework contains a wealth of information regarding tools, sizes and methods of producing a project. A masterclass from 'the master'!
