I'll recommend it to not only fans of JQ but also those who care to call the Bridgertons family of sorts. I kind of want to know how Amanda in 'To Sir Philip, with love' turns out. She seems interesting. Actually, so does Hyacinth's Isabelle. I don't ever want their story to end...
I heartily recommend this book for all who have enjoyed the Bridgerton family saga.
Curious though that Violet says she is an only child to Edmund but in 'An Offer From A Gentleman' Hyacinth is babysitting her cousins, who Violet tells Sophie are the children of her youngest sister.
I rather think that Violet in Bloom should have been an entire book rather than just the short snippet of what we had but that might be me just being greedy. The tumultuous experience of her childish indignation, how she was a wallflower, then an ecstatic bride and then we go to heartbreak oh Julia, you do know how to wrench the heartstrings!
You must read this if you have read all of the Bridgerton books. Don't think. Just read.
Regarding The Duke and I. We see our heroine's nearing middle age (40's and 50's) which is uncommon for historical romance, yet you can still read and find yourself attracted to the story because you still love these characters.
Regarding On the Way to The Wedding: Not the usual happily ever after but still it's nice. and you can know the name of their all 9 children.
New short stories are added for Violet "Lady Bridgerton". These are sweet, fluffy and a bit sad.
I really liked Edmund in these stories. I shed tears when he died :"
-It's very nice to go back to one of first historical stories and series that I have read. The Bridgerton still have their special place in my heart.
-Julia Quinn is still awesome.
-Looking forward to her new story.
-I want her to release more than one book a year
Was pleasantly surprised when Julia Quinn created endings for some of the support characters. Thought this was a nice touch.
