Having not played bridge for many years I found this book an excellent way to revise the foundations of bidding. It concentrates on the basics, ensuring that the reader properly understands the principles with no distractions from esoteric conventions. There were plenty of examples and practice hands. I would recommend it to anyone who has learnt the basics of the game and for club players who want to avoid bidding misunderstandings with their partners.

Very good, especially at the price paid. Ideal for the improving player. At last, a book which admits that no system will have a bid for all eventualities!

THis book does not show the origins, I thought it was a third book from the author, turned out to be the same as another with a different cover!

Like the chatty style, clear explanations and lots of example hands to work on. Good for revision and for improvers.
