Product Description

Review

"These quick, easy reads in the Pro Wrestling Legends series are filled with color photos set on wide margin pages and are designed to fill the need for information on the recent resurgence of professional wrestling. Fans are likely to be drawn to the stories....they are must-buys, given the massive popularity of this entertainment and the utter lack of other titles." --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

I hardly think 95 pages in a large font is enough to tell the story of Bret Hart. Theres about half a page on the Survivor Series Screw Job. This book prefers to go on in detail about his matches, ie Bret suplexed Davey Boy etc, and is more of a reference to his Wrestling career than a story about Bret himself.

I am a huge Bret Hart fan and was very happy to see a book on Bret Hart especially after "The Montreal screwjob" and as the author has written other books on wrestlers. I was wrong, there is nothing new in this book that you did not find out watching either raw or nitro. which is probably how the author did her research. This book is only good for the photos

Once I picked this book up, I couldn't put it down. The story of a man who is given life breaking decisions over the "fake sport". This gives the non wrestling fans a taste of the pro wrestlers everyday life. This book illustrates Bret's growing up environment and his great ring legend father Stu Hart. The novel lets the reader discover all the secrets of the famous survivors series "screw job" and his offer to move to WCW wrestling for a huge contract offer. For a wrestling fan, an absolute must, and for a non wrestling fan, well it will certainly raise your respect level for Bret and his "in ring" career.

HASH(0x97133c54) out of 5 stars A book of excellence! 23 Dec. 1999

I have been a Bret Hart fan since 1985 and it's so wonderful to see a book finally released about his incredible life. Bret is such an inspiration to so many people. Although I knew a majority of the facts in the book, there were several things I didn't know about, particularly regarding his career in the late 70s and early 80s. I definitely recommend this book to anybody who is a Hitman fan.
