For beginners to the 5:2 diet the front section of the book contains some very useful information. There is some useful advice such as splitting your diet days, drinking plenty of water on diet days and focus on vegetables and lean protein. They also include a Power Food list with some common fruits and frequently used proteins and vegetables. This list consists of foods with the calories per gram, typical serving size and then calories for a serving. If you haven't done calorie counting before this is a good place to start building your own calorie content list.
If you are just starting out on this diet and wonder what to do for breakfast this book is a good start.
