At Braun we understand and adhere to the principles of great design. Simplicity and functionality are fundamental to the Braun philosophy. Made to last from superior quality raw materials with easy to read dials and simple to operate functions. A Braun wrist watch is one you will be proud to own.
Braun is known for design-driven innovations. Braun’s minimalist, clean aesthetic, introduced by renowned German designer Dieter Rams, was built around the brand ethos - less, but better. Rams and his colleague Dietrich Lubs launched a range of functional timepieces based on the established visual language that made Braun products iconic.
In recent years this range has been re-established and revived, updated to bring the past forward. Made to last from reliable and durable raw materials, today’s award-winning range of Braun watches and clocks is designed and built with a focus on quality and precision.See all Product Description

I'd probably return it if it wasn't for the fact that in order to try it properly you have to cut the strap down to size by snipping off sections of the silicone. This is a fiddly job, since you have to remove and refix the spring-loaded fastening pin each time you cut a segment - and you're advised to only cut one segment at a time to reduce the risk of taking off too much. If you do cut too far - or if you later gain weight or if your wrists swell in hot weather - you'll have problems.
Once trimmed to size, the strap feels fairly comfortable and is soft and flexible, the only slight annoyance being the edge of the metal catch which you press to open the strap and which I can sometimes feel digging into my inner wrist. On one occasion the catch managed to pop itself open while I was wearing it.
The good points about the watch are the excellent timekeeping and the simple, clear, easy-to-read face. At the current Amazon price of £30, I feel it's OK for something that I'll use occasionally. It's not a watch I'd buy again, though - mainly because of the cut-to-fit strap design.
- Huge simple, clear, deep dial
- Very comfortable silicone... in fact the best silicone feel of any watch you can purchase.
- simple strong clasp
- Accurate and reliable
- simple colour
- simple non disposable feel
- not likely to get a girl to notice you :)
- requires time to cut and adjust strap to fit your wrist. But once its done, its comfortable. - see braun website and downlaod the pdf instructions... its simple!
- isn't able to slip under the shirt.
- not a typical conformist watch... its a bit abstract compared to other watches
- The braun brand as a watch raises eyebrows... but don't be afraid, its better build and better designed than any swatch.
- no date window
