A great little citrus juicer! Assembles quickly and easily and has a very useful feature whereby the extractor changes direction when you lighten and reapply pressure on the fruit - extracting the maximum juice out of it (2 average sized oranges give about 200mls of juice). The amount of pulp in the juice can be varied and just a simple rinse (straight after juicing or the pulp hardens to concrete!) under the tap cleans it. Fresh juice has never been so easy.

We have fresh-pressed juice every morning and have tried several different citrus presses and found this one to be the best. After years of service the cone has broken and I'm ordering another complete press (as well as a spare cone). The Citromatic has a larger than average cone which means that you can press grapefruits as well as oranges and the reversing of the direction of rotation when you stop pushing down on the fruit facilitates maximum juice extraction. The jug has a bigger volume than many and the jug handle makes it easier to put on and off as well as allowing one to steady the machine with your free hand. It's simple to clean.

I am a professional juicer. I juice approximately 15 liters every 4 days. I have developed some pros and cons on the product and an overall review.

PROS
1. Excellent juicer, efficient and quick
2. Does not stop juicing, even when pressure is applied to the fruit on the machine
3. Can juice endlessly without fear of cutting off
4. Stores up to a liter and a bit, excellent for large amounts
5. Unbelievably easy to clean, seriously!

CONS
1. Watch out for the wire of the product, especially when you are cutting large amounts of fruits, you do not want to cut the wire.
2. On rare occasions the juicer spins.

RECOMMENDATIONS
This produce is recommended for anybody who wants a good solid juicer, however, if you are going to be juicing more than 50 liters a week, and you have the extra money I do recommend a ZUMEX, the only problem is lowest grade ZUMUX is 700GBP up to 6000GBP.

I would also like to say, when you properly review every product, no product is perfect, so please take the cons with a pinch of salt, and buy it if you want a juicer, because the chances are the other juicers are far worse. Up to now I had 3 juicers, and this is the best.

Arthritic hands meant I did not get the best out of squeezing fresh oranges, but this excellent gadget, with its 1ltr jug means I squeeze enough juice for 3 days - getting max output from my produce, with ease.
This easy to clean and operate Juicer does just exactly what it says it will and with personalised adjustments to please any user, a great buy and I love it!

Whilst the mechanics of this unit are very good, and I bought this because my old Braun juicer had had its day but performed extremely well, a major design flaw here is that there are only small holes in the center of the unit to let the juice run through and if you want the smallest pulp setting, all the pulp and juice gets trapped on the perimeters of the strainer. So you either have to move the pulp around to let the juice through or widen the setting to let more juice through and and exponentially more pulp through. Even at the lowest setting, there is already quite a bit of pulp. I am surprised that Braun has manufactured such a poorly designed strainer and hope they read this and design an attachement with ridges from the middle all the way back in order to let as much juice run through as possible.

This is a replacement product for the same model that stopped working after using daily for around 4 years. I could not find a better product within this price range so ended up with the same one again.

After years of service my heavy duty Magimix juicer finally got tired and died. Around £150 to replace with the current model. I looked on Amazon and found this quite highly rated - and much, much cheaper - juicer. Since I only ever use it to make orange juice for my wife each morning I decided to take the risk.

Well, been using it for three weeks - and for what I use it for it is better than the Magimix it replaced.

- gets more juice and pulp out

- easier to assemble (although some of the parts have a slightly flimsy feel to them)

- quicker than the Magimix if a little more fiddly

- much, much easier to clean. Rinse and it's done.

It probably doesn't have anything like the range of tasks that the other does - but I don't use it in that way. So - if it is a simple, fast, efficient citrus juicer you are after - go for this. I don't think you will regret it.

Mine came from Germany - only added a couple of days to the order processing time.

And my wife is happy - which is the main thing.

JUST to add after a few more days use:

- better to use seedless oranges as there is no filter to catch the pips

- it really IS easy to clean. A rinse and you are done. So much better than the fiddly process I used to have to go through. More I use it - happier I am.

After 8 months of daily use - it is holding up fine. Not flimsy at all in practice. A good buy!

18 months now and still going strong!!
