It was a great surprise to me when I noticed that the 5.1 mix for this album had been done by Elliot Scheiner - this is always a good thing as he is probably the finest surround mixer currently working (at least, I have yet to hear one of his I don't like). The mix is well balanced between being nicely balanced and aggressive with the use of the rear channels at the same time, and the result is a soundfield where every last detail can be heard. For those who still doubt the superiority of the Advanced Resolution on offer here at 24/96, there is a video of one track included here in Dolby Digital stereo - play this, and then go to the high resolution version - it's as different as night & day. If you like the music of Sting - then do yourself the favour of tracking this down as soon as possible. It's well worth the effort.
