John Crane quality, well formed chunky wooden upper case letters. All with a thick coat of paint, colours as vibrant as the picture. Quality sturdy board with relevant bright pictures within the cut out letter shapes. The letters are just the right size for small hands to investigate. This comes in a lovely presentation box. The entire alphabet is visible through a thick acetate front window, making an ideal gift!

The width measurements approximately for letter ' I ' 2 cm and ' W ' just over 5.5 cm at the top widest part. I have chosen these two to give you an idea of the narrowest and widest letters. The others vary slightly in between these measurements. The Depth for all approx 2 cm and Height approx 4 cm.

Board LENGTH approx ~ just under 12 " just over 30 cm.
    Board WIDTH approx ~ 8 3/4 " just over 22 cm.

Hugely tactile alphabet which instantly triggered conversation with my little one. We talked about letter names, sounds, what could be seen in the pictures, what the letters felt like, colours, matched the letters to their shape/picture, sang the alphabet song as we touched each letter and built towers with them. We also stand the letters up for sound groups, finding items that start with the same sound. F,J and P require a little blu tack underneath as they are top heavy.

Children need to meet upper case letters. I only wish there was a lower case version of this too. An instant hit with both of us and will last generations, worth every penny!

I bought this for my 2year old daughter. The letters are nice and durable. They are a good size and colourful. It has really helped her learn her alphabet and I think its something that will stay in our family for a long time unlike other toys we have bought.

All in all I was happy with the product and I believe it is good value for money.

I bought this jigsaw alphabet puzzle for my 2 year old boy. He is interested in his alphabet and he loves puzzles. Needless to say he loves this and is so proud when he guesses a letter correctly. You can also use the letters to make simple words. I like the fact the letters are 3D and so tactile. The letters are lovely and chunky and underneath are pictures corresponding to the letter eg. E=elephant. It is a solid and well made product, it is one of those toys which will be kept, even when my children have grown up. I can honestly say this is one of the best toys I've bought, not the usual 5 minute wonder.

We've bought several other alphabet puzzles from different manufacturers and this one is far and away the best - top quality and well-formed distinct letters. It's also more expensive (over double) than the other puzzles we've bought, but worth the extra.

Plain and simple wooden letters, in a puzzle to make things more interesting for our toddler (2yrs old). Simple drawings underneath each letter representing a word beginning with such letter - A is for... apple ! Our boy loves his puzzle, and recognizes the letters in other settings now - brilliant ! We only changed a few images as we wanted words that would work in two languages, but that's us.

Think it's a bit overpriced for a jigsaw but think it should good to teach my daughter letters. Think the letters could be better as they don't fill the gaps on the board in some places. Overall, I'm happy with it

This alphabet set is great, colourful, lovely pictures and really fantastic for little hands. Seems to be quite hardy, I only hope myself and my baby daughter can keep it looking great for my grandchildren in about 25/30 years time!
