I have read Blacklist and Full Black, and really enjoyed the storylines and the main character, Scot Harvath. It has been fun going back and reading the 1st in the Harvath novels. Great heros and stories about the SEALS, Secret Service, military, and Special Ops. Love the action - Thanks Mr. Thor!

When i read the first bok of an author and I like it I use to read all others until i get disappointet of the repetition. That's why I like the collection. You get the right sequence of the stories and don't go back and forth in some books.

I've enjoyed Brad Thor for a few years now, and when I had the opportunity to get his repertoire for Kindle, I didn't hesitate. None of his works, thusfar, are "high literature," but that's OK. What I have found is that his books ARE very engaging and fun to read. The protagonist is, in my view, a sort of ultrapatriotic action hero, without superpowers but with a LOT of connections. Thor manages to make his villains believable and evil, but doesn't just paint them as two-dimensional. I've also been impressed with the character relationships that have permeated his novels and, like life, continue to grow, change, ebb, and flow.
I'd recommend these to anyone looking for a rollicking good time (a la Dirk Pitt) but with a more political, serious bent.
HASH(0x93e0a8f4) out of 5 stars He is one great author of thrillers 7 Jun. 2015

I just discovered Brad Thor. He is one great author of thrillers. So, of course, there is graphic violence, what do you expect? I could not put down the first book, read it in 2 days to the exclusion of other things I needed to do. I am into the second one now. I remember years ago enjoying the book, "Eye of the Needle." That was a similar thriller which I thoroughly enjoyed. So, Jane Austen, you go on the back shelf for a little while. And the Grey books, they go in the garbage. Oh such bad writing in the Shades of Grey series. I really wasted my money on them but I had to see what the hype was all about. And that is all it is--hype. Read Brad Thor instead. Better than watching TV.

This series was recommended by a friend. I'm glad I bought the Collectors' Edition with the first 3 novels or I might have never read past the first. One always has to put some criticism aside when one reads about a "super agent" type of character, but in the first novel the bad guys were SO bad at being able to stop him that it got ridiculous! Thankfully, it got better. If possible I would have given the set 3.5, but certainly not a 4. Bottom line: I'm buying the next set so how bad could they be?
