I loved the first book and that is where we first met Tahlia and we found out her fiancé was cheating on her. So therefore, I personally would recommend reading the Bartender first, but you don't need to, but it's great so why not.

Tahlia's ex fiancé could have made a better gigolo than a fiancé, but that's not all so no wonder Thalia's trust and faith in men is broken. However, she takes a chance on the underdog at a fight, she gets more than she bargained for with Lucas, he is cocky, charming and everything Chase is not, Tahlia is apprehensive, but can't deny the chemistry.

So will Tahlia be able to take the chance on the bad boy boxer, who has the potential to repair her and let her be free to love again after the heartbreak.

I've loved the first two books from this writing duo and I cannot wait for Lennon's book, I love how easily you fall into the characters story with little effort and it also has plenty of laughs too.

This is the second book in the series but it can be read as a stand alone rad. I couldn't wait to rad this book after reading the first one. I was definitely not disappointed one bit with this book. This book has fantastic characters, you will just fall in love with from the first page till the last one. I just couldn't put this book down till id finished it, I was left wanting and needing more. I cant wait for more from this author in the future.
Highly recommended

This was a great second book in the series.

This time we get Tahlia's story. Tahlia is trying to find a way to get over her cheating ex. Tahlia is a great character and I loved her, she is a strong and this book is all about getting back on her feet and moving on. This is where Lucas comes in a hot sexy Boxer. The story is told entirely from Tahlia's Pov. There is great chemistry between them both and there first encounter was a scene that stood out for me. This was a great fun sexy read.

Although this book can be read as a standalone, i’d recommend reading The Bartender, the first book in the series. This is where we first meet Tahlia and the friends.

This story takes place about 6 months after The Bartender ends. Tahlia has split from her cheat of a fiance and friends Lennon and Whitney are sick of her moping around wasting time thinking of the Loser. So they set out to get her into the dating game again, or at least to get Laid !!! Lennon is still a bit over the top at times, and Whitney is still sweet!

Its at a boxing match she first meets Lucas, when she really isn’t at her best, she’s a drunk mess !! But he’s gorgeous and swoony right? Tahlia really likes Lucas, he’s different, he’s not from “money”, he’s down to earth, a little bit of a bad boy, likes the plain and simple things in life. Tahlia is from “money”, she’s knows as the sausage queen due to her fathers business. They have a few “dates” that aren’t quite dates that had me smiling a lot.Her and Lucas really are total opposites… or are they???? Lucas does everything right in this romance, yet he still maintains that bad boy vibe, he’s easy going but firm when he has to be.

This pairing of authors write superbly together, light, sexy, romantic, love with just enough angst thrown in with some over the top humor. I enjoyed this book, its well written and the characters are so easy to connect with. Plenty of humour, sexy hotness and angst to keep you entertained through out. Their relationship makes for a lovely light romantic read, plain sailing into the land of happy ever unicorns, except for one thing that erupts between them like a huge fat sausage !!! Will they be fried to a crisp or perfectly done, ya have to read it to find out !!!

This is the second book in the Modern Love series but each can be read as a standalone.

Tahlia was in the first book where she found out her fiancé was cheating on her. This book picks up six months after where she has sat wallowing in her despair. Being a woman who likes to be in control and everything in its place, a cheater threw all her life’s plan into disarray. Having two great BFF (Whitney and Lennon) they don’t let her wallow in self-pity any longer and take her to a boxing match. When she sets eyes on Lucas with the intense emerald eyes she is thinking he would be good to get over Chase and a man who is so far away from the epitome of snobbish society can only be good. Couldn’t it?

Luke is a man on a mission and his impending retirement from the boxing world has him focusing on his boxing gym. He has pulled himself through and made it on his own. So when his focus is pulled in the form of the sex kitten placing a bet on him at his next match, he is hooked.

This was a scorcher of a romance and the hot action between Tahlia and Lucas was intense and passionate. The connection between these two was fantastic and so believable. I liked how the circle of how they meet then meet again then the connection later on in the book is usually a roll of the eyes for me in the coincidences but here it just totally worked and flowed. I liked that I didn’t even click what could happen as we neared the end (although I picked up on it just as it started to happen) I know this sounds a bit ‘what the hell?’ but I don’t want to slip in any spoilers!

What I loved about this book though was how it didn’t throw in loads of angst and unnecessary misunderstandings. When they did occur Lucas was quickly on it to soothe Tahlia’s insecurities.
