5.0 out of 5 stars Entertain Their Brains, Too! 30 May 2009
By Monica Laurence - Published on Amazon.com

I tutor middle-grade kids in English reading, writing, grammar. In a two-hour session, they need a couple of fun breaks. My kids work so-o-o-o hard through the first part of their lessons just so we can open The Box of General Ignorance. They love it! They earn points for work they do, that they can then spend on "prizes" I provide. One boy is saving his points for these cards. "If you can't get another copy, you have to give me yours!" he tells me.
Great product; lots of fun -- for me, too!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great family game for all ages! 22 Jan. 2013

Had this as Christmas gifts for male friends and they just went through it immediately after opening. Dads and teenage boys had genuine wholesome fun. Intellectual stimulation during family gatherings along with the board games.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ignorant! 12 Jan. 2012
By P. Alther - Published on Amazon.com

Ignorant! That is what these cards may have you feeling like when you start going through them. However, if you're anything like me, you'll tear through these with delight and enjoy reading all of the fun trivial that you may or may not have been aware of, such as the origins of the name America (Trust me, it's not what you may have been taught in school!). These are great to have to just kill some time and read some interesting facts. Lots of fun for trivial buffs and people who just love knowledge for the sake of knowledge.

This has made me quite annoying to friends and family. I love the explanations to their facts.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun cards to reveal how smart your spouse or friends are. 12 Sept. 2014
By Lundy Lane - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Cards Verified Purchase
Fun cards to reveal how smart your spouse or friends are. To my surprise the people I quizzed actually got the answers correct when I had no clue of the answers!

One Question for each category:

What was James Bond’s favorite drink? How many states are there in the United States? Who invented the telephone? Which African mammal kills more humans than any other? *** The answers are not what you think they will be ***

The cards have tabs on them so you can pick and choose categories that you are interested in like: Science, History, Geography, and Arts & Letters. The question is in big print on the front of the card with a picture drawn that is referring to what the particular card is about. On the back is the answer and then a lot of detail about the answer in smaller print. The cards themselves are heavy and have a nice feel to them, rich in color. Stand up box that is nicely made with a heavy feel to it.

I actually bought these to send to my nephew who is at boot camp for the National Guard and I wanted something fun to stick in the notes I wrote him. I pick a card from each category and send them with each note. They barely fit into a normal size envelope…but I make it work.

I’m considering buying more for fun gifts.
