If you're a Big Bottom fan like me, you'll love this hour and forty mins of violence, bodily fluids, farting, swearing and obsanity! This is Rik Mayall and Ade Edmondson at their alternative best! This is undoubtably the best live show in the history of mankind. If you don't like this video, you must be dead or have no sense of humour. What are you waiting for? Grab your Bottom NOW!

Hilarious as usual but you can see they were slowing down with the scripwriting - all 3 TV series had really taken their toll by Live 3. So, yes, it is the weakest of the 3, but still better than the new film as a whole (the film is quite funny but let down by a very poor 'sudden' ending just like their last Comic Strip 'Three Men and a Car'). Bottom as a series worked because it was filmed live and felt 'real' despite the cartoon violence, so these theatre shows were amongst the best of the lot.

I saw this live at the Bradford Alhambra - I was seated on the second row at the front and as such had a ringside seat to
see Rik Mayall - the funniest comedian ever. May he rest in peace knowing his humour had me bent double with laughter.

I am a huge bottom fan, and I have got to say that this is the best Bottom Live UK tour I have ever seen. The plot isn't the best bit (which is weird). The best bit is the number of times which they both muck up. I can guarantee that you will be rolling around on the floor in laughter just after the Beginning.
I would honestly buy this on video or DVD because it is just so funny and if you dont you will be missing out on a lot.

After the success of their first two tours, Rik Mayall and Ade Edmondson returned with their third tour Hooligan's island which I consider the best of not only the tours but the whole of Bottom.

This tour is set entirely on an island in the south seas three years after Richie and Eddie are shipwrecked when Eddie causes a fire during one of their magic shows aboard the ship. Instead of attempting to escape the island, Richie and Eddie continue with their usual arguing and fighting until they find themselves stuck with a giant bomb planted on the island by a mysterious scuba-diver and attempt to diffuse it.

This is the third bottom live outing and you would be forgiven for thinking that this is where the live shows began to go down hill, and well maby it was,but in my opinion this is great fun and richie and eddy are as funny as ever. The plot sees the lads trapped on a desert island and getting up to the usuall revolting antics, while this isn't the best bottom live its sertainly funnier then their recent efforts, the dvd has no extra's which is a huge dissapointment, but id still recommend this to anyone who is fan of Rik and Ade's madcap sense of humour.Overall a great show, shame about the dvd.

Bottom Live 3 is a fantastic show (although it is the worst of the Bottom Live trilogy), but it could have been better. For starters, despite the fact that it claims to be uncensored on the box, they have in fact edited a song about 'My Pants' off both the DVD and the video. Being someone who saw it live, I know it should be there at the end of the first act. Another problem with this DVD is the distinct lack of any special features whatsoever. Surely they could have thrown something together, eg interviews, rehearsal footage - maybe even the 'My Pants' song... Nonetheless, if you a dedicated Bottom fan, and you want to see it with digital quality, then I would recommend you get this.
