This is an excellent drill together with an impressive driver. Many other tools using the same batteries/charger are available. The batteries charge in an hour from near-flat.

The drill is light and comfortable in the hand, compact and yet powerful for an 18V drill. I had no idea drills this small were available now. There’s a wide range of torque settings, the chuck works perfectly (unlike many I’ve tried), the light and battery charge indicator are very useful, and a single charge lasts ages. I just drilled sixteen 7mm holes, 70mm deep, in hard brick, with a well-used bit. It’s still going strong.

I haven’t owned a dedicated driver since an under-powered Makita, 20-30 years ago. This one’s a beauty. There’s been no opportunity to tackle any big jobs with it yet but it’s been a pleasure to use for tasks such as screwing bolts directly into the holes I made (see above) and hanging a door. The quick-release chuck makes bit-changes near-instant. I do wish it had the light and battery charge level offered by the drill though.

One big disappointment is that you don’t get cases of any kind. Seems a bit mean. If you buy the tools separately, I believe you do get hard cases (not with bare-bones versions of the tools).

It’s hard to compare prices of the set vs. individual tools because there are several possible permutations. The best deal, at today’s prices, is probably the drill with two batteries for £70 (search for B00L3XK06C) and bare-bones driver for £55 (B01M3NSYCD), total £125. You get a case for the drill but not the driver. The twin pack is currently £153.

Have had the impact driver and the screwdriver a while now and have used them on various job and found that they have breezed through the tasks. The drills are light in weight and a good size, the battery packs provide plenty of power and have a quick recharge time of about an hour for a relatively flat battery. The impact drill has been a delight to use making light work of drilling both bricks and concrete and the power has enabled me to complete the jobs without a battery change/recharge. Using the screwdriver to help board out the loft, made life much easier and its quick release chuck has helped me make light work of the job. The tools feel comfortable in the hand, sturdy and easy to use. The only disappointment is that they don't come with a case, to keep everything together. Good tools though, value for money and I would recommend them.

I have a problem with this double pack. The drill and screwdriver themselves are perfect. Both are light and easy to use and, as you would expect, get the job done. In fact I like the screwdriver one more. I always wondered what recessed shape was for at the end of a bit, now I know. Apparently, it’s called a ‘ball catch’ and the good thing about this impact driver is there’s no chuck or twisting involved; just pull the locking sleeve and then let it go. It’s not a system I’ve come across before and it makes life much easier.

The drill is also light and, like the driver, has a good grip. The twin batteries came with a small charge but it won’t take long to see a continuous charging light. The beauty of this double pack is that I can drill whilst she drives in the screws but as convenient as that is, the problem I have (and it seems others also have) is that this just comes in a box. For the price of this twin set, it should have been accompanied by a carry case. Who wants to keep their drill in the box or just lying around on a shelf. It needs a case with room for accessories. The drill and driver both come with a single, reversible screwdriver bit, which seems rather mean. Something I'm perturbed about is that the battery is difficult to push in and remove. It needs a heavy hand and I did worry something would break.

It looks like you can buy both these items at a lower price if bought separately with enough change for a carry case. There might even be a double case available. As useful as these are, on that score, as someone else has attested, whether this is value for money is debatable.

I am using these to replace the cheap Black and Decker drill I have used for years. In this set you get a cordless drill and a impact driver, and both come with batteries that are interchangeable - and just one battery charger.

The impact driver is designed to put in screws quickly, so its design is slightly different to the drill. The impact driver only accepts bits that have a hexagonal base (pull the collar forward when you fit the bit and then is locks in place) and there is no clutch on it so you have to be a bit careful to not over screw something. It is smaller though and the technology it uses will screw in screws much faster than a cordless drill, it just takes a bit of learning.

I have been using both in a few diy jobs around the house (building a bed off of instructables, and tv cabinet) and they have worked very well. The 18V battery seems to last a full day of work without any issues, and both the drill and driver seem to be able to apply a lot of torque to whatever I am doing.

Simply put these have a lot more oomph than the cheapo drill I have been using, the battery lasts longer and they are nicely weighted, sturdily constructed and have the feeling they will last for a long time. Only negative I can see is the lack of a case.
