That's the extent of my 'criticism'.
This is a really powerful jetwash. I used a Karcher pressure washer before this and it did the job really well, but this is a different level. It comes with 3 different attachments: one is a broad sprayer which is ideal for washing the car; one is a nozzle that is for general jetwash use and ideal for cleaning drives/paving stones; and one is an intense rotator head that seriously hammers masonry to clean it so thoroughly. It has a built-in osepipe on a reel, which means you don't have to haul the mains hosepipe around quite so much - and this can be locked into place as needed. It has holders for each of the nozzles/heads for easy access/storage. The handle is adjustable so it's incredibly easy to move around - it feels like you're pulling a little golf club cart around. It has good sized wheels that provide it with a steady grip and foundation.
It is a heavy piece of kit - i was surprised at how heavy it is compared to the karcher pressure washer - but this gives it a really solid feel so when you're using it, there's little worry that it'll topple over.
The spray head is, as i said, ideal for washing the car. It fans the water to cover a larger surface area. The general nozzle was perfect for cleaning my patio/drive, but even then the pressure was high enough to dislodge some of the tarmac (it is an OLD driveway though).Read more ›
The machine was ready to go, with 13A fuse in the plug, and I just needed to pull the winding handle out from the body to release the hose drum, and press the red button to adjust the top handle to be able to move it more easily. No tools were required. The wheels are a bit stiff, but this is a good thing to help prevent it walking because of the slight vibration when the motor is running.
I found it was excellent at rapidly cleaning off the path and paving slabs, but needed to be very careful not to also excavate the pointing between the bits of paving because the jet is so powerful. The atomiser bottle allows one to make foam when washing the car, and it was surprisingly effective. I’ve decided not to use the pressure jets or the 90° nozzle (I bought) on or under the car because 160Bar is just too powerful and might damage the paint or under-seal on it even with the fan jet; a normal mains pressure Hoselock lance will do for this. The gutters are now spotless thanks to the 90° nozzle.
The main problem is that the mains lead and the hose are both too short for safe working with any reach. An extension hose is essential for use on paths and guttering.Read more ›
I sent it to be repaired using a Bosch dealer, they could not fix the washer so it was dumped.
I bought a powerful Evolution petrol one, and have never had a problem.
The Bosch was a waist off money.
We have other Bosch tools and had no issues with them.
This is a seriously sturdy and impressive piece of kit. It comes on its own trolley with hose and cables rolled up making storage very easy. There are three different lances for different types of lane including a fan lance, a car lance, and a rotating one ideal for removing tough grime.
I've been using this to clean up my paths and have been very impressed with the power. This delivers serious cleaning power and makes cleaning a lot easier. I've also used the car specific lance (as indicated in the manual as safe for car cleaning) to clean up my car and it has made removing the winter mud a whole lot easier than my old battered one.
The hose cable and attachments all stack away with the cleaner, making it very easy to store in a corner of the garage an the wheels make it very easy to move around as I move between tasks.
Overall this is an excellent, powerful and well featured washer and I will be making a lot of use of.
