This is the story of Ray.
A neglected child, often left to fend for herself while her mother left her alone (sometimes for weeks at a time!).

She was rescued from her pitiful existence at 9 years old by Idella Pinson.
At 12 she learned what she could do. Her vivid dreams were in fact real!

The knowledge that she can jump into a *host body*while her true body slumbers has exciting and sometimes unwanted consequences.

Can she learn to stop meddling in her "borrowed lives" before it is to late?

A very entertaining read!

I usually despise books that jump around timelines. Past and present are usually bad enough, but this book throws time travel into it!

However, I must say it was very well done and I never found myself confused as to "where I was" so to speak.

I think the reason is because each timeline had its own unique characters to go with it.
For example:
The child Ray had Idella.
The adult Ray had Ruth.
Each time travel jump was clearly labeled.

Also the plot was quite intense, and I found myself staying up late to read the book. I finished it in a few days.

I would recommend anyone to read it.
