The Mysterious Amazon Customer
Just what LitRPG should be

I’m a gamer and a fantasy and sci fi lover, so it’s no surprise that I love LitRPG novels. Paul Bellow has proven himself to be a master of this genre with his superb A Tower of Gates series. It has just what I want from this genre, real immersion into the RPG world but with a link that somehow brings in the RPG element in a manner that actually makes sense, while providing a story that’s fun and exciting. That’s certainly been the case with Eric, Sarah Josh and company in the complex bit exciting and fun tale to date - and its most definitely true in the case of the series fifth book (ignoring a related side-story tale), Boost. This is the kind of series that really should be started with its first book (the excellent Hack, separately reviewed) for maximum enjoyment, but its fun even as a stand-alone. Frankly, for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed, I could go on and on with praises - the series and this book both definitely deserve it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that this book is most definitely one to read, it is easy to highly recommend. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.

To many major errors starting to show up in the series. Continuity problems like one character saying hell start behind to watch the place then suddenly being in town with the people that left him to guard camp, etc
