I remember reading two books when I was a little younger, but I have the poorest memory and I can't remember what the names of them are, and I really want to read them again!

One was about a boy who lived near a circus in a box and had been abandoned. I think he met a fairy girl and they went to follow the circus (?). I think the circus was stealing people's laughter and bottling it, so you could only laugh if you drank a bottle of the laughter. I think they met a gang of kids near the end and they had to beat the circus, but I really can't remember anything else :( the front cover was really beautifully decorated as well and had a nice picture.

The other one was about a girl that I think was called Gurl and she lived in a children's home (?) in a different world, and there were people I think called Wings who could fly and there was a boy in it who wanted to become a Wing but he didn't think he could and I think the Gurl had some special power or something, and was captured at one point (?) Again it had a really great front cover with the girl and boy on the front drawn really nicely.

Sorry about the really poor descriptions, that's all I can remember, but I really loved the books, so any help is welcome!!!

I think I know the second one - it's ''The Invisible Girl'' by Laura Ruby

Can't help with the first, I'm sorry. If it comes to me, I'll let you know.
