This is written under a pseudonym by Linda Gruchy, it's a completely different style of writing for her as her other books are mainly of the crime genre. I've not read any of them, so I can't compare how the writing differs.
I give this a 3.5 stars rather than three. The story is well written and tells the story of Amy and her Aunty Debbie. I enjoyed the relationship between Amy and her Aunty, however that all changed when her Uncle came back on the scene. Boo hiss what a nasty piece of work he was, at times I wanted to shake her Aunty up and tell her to smell the coffee, if you know what I mean.
I found that the first part of the story dragged but things soon looked and moved along nicely with lots happening as Amy's friendship/relationship developed with a certain young man.
I wouldn't say that this was a sickly sweet chick lit style romance as there were elements of mystery and underhandedness in it and if you choose to read this story then you'll hopefully know exactly what I mean.
