About the Author
The Silver Elves, Zardoa and Silver Flame, are a family of elves who have been living and sharing the Elven Way since 1975. They are the authors of "The Book of Elven Runes: A Passage Into Faerie"; "The Magical Elven Love Letters, volume I, 2, and 3"; "An Elfin Book of Spirits: Evoking the Beneficent Powers of Faerie"; "Caressed by an Elfin Breeze": "The Poems of Zardoa Silverstar"; "Eldafaryn: True Tales of Magic from the Lives of the Silver Elves"; "Arvyndase (Silverspeech): A Short Course in the Magical Language of the Silver Elves"; "The Elven Book of Dreams: A Magical Oracle of Faerie"; "The Book of Elven Magick: The Philosophy and Enchantments of the Seelie Elves, Volume 1 and 2"; "What An Elf Would Do: A Magical Guide to the Manners and Etiquette of the Faerie Folk"; "Magic Talks: On Being a Correspondence Between the Silver Elves and the Elf Queen’s Daughters; Sorcerers’ Dialogues: Further Correspondence Between the Silver Elves and the Elf Queen’s Daughters" and "The Elven Tree of Life Eternal: A Magical Quest for One’s True S’Elf". We have had various articles published in Circle Network News Magazine and have now given out over 5,000 elven names to interested individuals in the Arvyndase language, with each elf name having a unique meaning specifically for that person. The Elven Way is the spiritual Path of the Elves. It is not a religion. While all elves are free to pursue whatever spiritual path they desire, or not as the case may be, these elves are magicians and follow no particular religious dogma. We do however believe in all the Gods and Goddesses, (also Santa Claus [to whom we’re related], the tooth fairy [distant cousins] and the Easter or Ostara Bunny [no relation].) and try to treat them all with due respect. The Elven Way promotes the principles of Fairness, that is to say both Justice, Elegance and Equal Opportunity and Courtesy that is respectful in its interactions and attitude toward all beings, great or small. We understand the world as a magical or miraculous phenomena, and that all beings, by pursuing their own true path, will become whomever they truly desire to be. Our path is that of Love and Magic and we share our way with all sincerely interested individuals. We welcome you to contact us through our website at: http://silverelves.angelfire.com or through our Facebook page, under the name Zardoa Silver Elves Love and we will do our best to help you.

So, I’m going to do this review for both of these books, even though there are two volumes, it really is a set. These are probably the best magic books I’ve ever read. You could go for years, in various secret esoteric organizations, to basically find out what is given for free (or, the cost of the book) in these pages.
This really nicely lays out the principles of the stages of learning magic. From starting out at basic purification and self-protection, and then moving on to healing and more advanced forms of magic. These books cover a lot, and are filled with really useful information. Along with it, are example ceremonies for each type of magic that you can use or modify as you deem fit.
Additionally, really good examples of the general theory behind much of the magic, and why certain things work the way they do and the stages you go through to learn them. They’re very well laid out, and easy to use.
In Volume 1 it goes through the first five colors of magic types, along with theory and philosophical background.
In Volume 2, it goes through the next five colors of magic, and then goes into more in depth sections on spells and mantra use, and more advanced topics.
Also, if you get these two books, I highly recommend also getting their book on Elven Enchantment, “The Keys to Elven Enchantment” because it really compliments these two books nicely, and they do not go into enchantment very much at all in these which they really give a proper treatment in it’s own book.
Overall, just a fantastic set, and I highly recommend.
