I really enjoyed this story, and not just because I'm a Golden Retriever fan! My only criticism is that I found it difficult to work out the family relationships between the characters.

I'm not one for mysteries usually but this book was well written and kept my interest. The book is the second in the series written by Richard Houston, sometimes it is hard to pick up where the last finished but this continues with Fred the adorable Golden Retriever and his owner Jake.

The story isn't just a mystery but has elements of a love story, friendships and humour. The cleverly written twists and turns made solving the puzzle throughly enjoyable.
