From its groundbreaking pilot through to its memorable 100th episode and beyond, this gritty, darkly humorous series is an exciting blend of spine-tingling murder mystery, amazing science and smoldering sensuality. David Boreanaz (Angel) stars as streetwise FBI Agent Seeley Booth, who teams up with high-tech forensic anthropologist Dr Temperance "Bones" Brennan (Emily Deschanel) to solve some of the most complex, bizarre crimes on record.

The series follows Dr Tempe Brennan, a forensic anthropologist, and Agent Booth as they try to solve various muders. 'So it's another CSI?' I hear you say. Well, to a degree, but what this does is looks more at the personal lives of the characters that CSI does. So the science is more balanced, in my opinion.
If you are thinking of watching this because you have read the Kathy Reichs books and love the middle aged ex-alcoholic Tempe in their pages, I warn you, the Temperence in the show is a completely different beast. I personally like this fact. I saw the show first, then read the books, and because both are so different was able to enjoy the series in its own right, without feeling, as I often do with books that are made into movies/tv shows, that the book was so much better.
In summary, I love this series and will be adding addtional seasons to my collection.
The first episode, I wasn't keen on Brennan (so glad this didn't put me off!) but she soon grew on me and she is utterly superb, along with Booth of course!
The ongoing storyline between Brennan and Booth is so frustrating but in a good way...the will they, won't they scenario. You would think after 6 seasons it would be too prolonged and become a bit dull but it has been done in such a way that it just works.
All of the characters throughout the seasons are fantastic. They are all so different and have their own little quirks.
I was a bit dubious when Stephen Fry came into it but he truly was great and fitted in so well. (I hope he comes back!)
This really needs to be watched from the beginning so you can get to know all the characters and the relationships between everyone. Some story lines do carry on throughout the show too but every episode is different, very clever and so enjoyable.
This is one programme that makes me laugh and cry, (and I'm not one to cry watching TV!) puts me on the edge of my seat and makes me scream at the TV when it's finished, especially when ending on a cliff hanger, as I have to wait for a whole week to watch the next episode.
I really can't stress enough how much I would recommend you to give Bones a chance. You will soon love it - the story lines, the cast and everything about it. I'm truly addicted!
Dr Brennen is a very straight laced woman, who sees everything in Black and White, no shades of grey with her.
She plays her role well, you can find her very annoying.
Dr Brennen studies the bones of the victims to find out how they died, who killed them.
She believes the truth is the only thing that matters, no matter the reason.
If you killed someone, you should pay for it, as I said, black and white is only what she sees when it comes to the law.
The male star who also played Angel is the FBI agent.
