good quality, handle allows me to get all fingers around it (just) so it feels secure when swinging, cleaning etc.
Perhaps not cosmetically perfect but who cares about that?

Although most sites/ reviews will say a man should start with 16kg bell, I chose to err on side of caution and glad I did. I'm pretty strong for my build, but although I reckon I could do the swings with 16kg no problem, I'd be wary of attempting turkish get-ups etc with that weight. Choosing a lower weight means I can concentrate on learning the technique, and then up the weight later.
Which, at these prices, is not a problem.

Highly recommended

So a bit of history to set the scene; bought a vinyl 8Kg to get started as didn't want to damage myself early doors, and was surprised by the size of the thing. As a home beginner though you don't want to spend too much incase it's not your thing and going with cast iron seemed a bit to hardcore.

After a couple of weeks of using the 8Kg vinyl i decided I should updrage the weight and really start to push on, so decided to go with a 10Kg iron to see what all the fuss was about. Best thing i ever did.

The 10Kg is absolutely one third, possibly a half smaller than my 8Kg vinyl which means it fits a lot neater for snatches and static grips.

The horn is wider and slightly thinner allowing a more comfortable double handed and switching hands grip.

Because it's a metal it slides over the hands better when you've got a bit sweaty.

Vinyl kettlebells are cheaper, but for a reason. I'm no professional, but after making the switch to iron I can't state enough that you get what you pay for.

as an older dude, the 16kg is too heavy for a double-daily workout. But the 12kg means I can do 2 x 15 min sessions without aching like crazy the next day. Well cast, great value. Swing-tastic

These kettlebells are great, really good quality and don't slip out of your hands which the plastic ones do. They look like they wll last forever, Would thoroughly recomend the bells as a fitness tool, but get someone trained to show you how to get the maximum effect

I've been training at the gym for a while so I got the 16kg bell to start with at home. Within a couple of weeks, core strength improved massively and I'm now able to pull much larger weights at the gym. My back also seems stronger and more relaxed and I feel generally more in control of my movements. I'm upgrading to the 20kg but I recommend starting with the 16kg as it takes time for all the small connecting muscles to strengthen, also with the wrong technique you can end up hurting yourself so best not to over do it straight away.

I made the mistake of ordering vinyl covered KBs early on, which were promptly returned for proper cast iron bells. These Bodymax KBs are fantastic value for money, and actually better than the photos make them out to be.

There is little to tell you about the KBs - they are a single piece of cast iron, with a well-sized handle. They have a slightly dimpled, but smooth finish with no seams, so you shouldn't get any unnecessary callouses. They have their weight clearly imprinted on them, in a contrasting white paint. KBs are (or at least, should be) unfussy, functional items and the Bodymax certainly are, but they are also excellent value for money.

I have seen poorer quality KBs cost twice as much. Save your money - if you want KBs, these won't "just do", they're perfect. I have two Bodymax KBs - at 20 and 24Kg. I also have a Marcy-made 32Kg and a 16Kg from another make. You can see these all side-by-side in the uploaded photos and I would say that the Bodymax are undoubtedly the best value. The 32Kg Marcy has a better finish and the 16Kg version is clearly a step or two down in terms of final quality, although it is perfectly fine for swinging about.

For anyone interested in KB exercises, I cannot fault the Bodymax and would recommend them without a moment's hesitation. Great quality and value.

This is the second Kettlebell I have purchased. The first was a 16kg Golds gym.The comparison between the two is stark, the Bodymax is a vastly superior design, and, subsequently, a better product all round. I've just purchased a 24kg Bodymax Kettlebell from Powerhouse again...totally love their products & prices. Oh,free delivery to Northern Ireland too.....what a great company, you need look no further for quality kit.

Brilliant delivery on time from Powerhouse, wrapped in bubble wrap with a label, no nonsense just how I like it.
I read a lot of reviews before buying this kettlebell, and i think that unless you were going to buy direct from RKC then this is the best, beautifully made, very smooth, big handle to get both hands in for 2 handed swings etc, does what it says on the tin.
I went for the 16kg because I needed to learn all the excercises first and didn't want to go too heavy and not be able to do them (have a go at the Turkish Get Up and you'll see what i mean), I am a stonemason and quite strong.
I have had this one for a while now and have just bought a 24kg....i like a challenge :))
