This story kept me on the edge of my seat, while my heart raced cover to cover. An action packed, fast paced, and well written story line flows perfectly. J.M. Witt did a brilliant job adding in the twists and turns, keeping me on my toes. She also had my heart hurting for Des on more than one occasion, on top of hilarious dialogue that had me rolling. Des and O's chemistry exploded out of my kindle, leading to SCORCHIN HOT sexy scenes that should NOT be read in public. I LOVE this author's easy writing style, and Volume 3 can't get here quickly enough! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!
There are so many ups and downs and twists and turns throughout this book that you will not want to put it down. Make sure you have a few hours set aside with no interruptions because if you're like me you will devour this one!
I loved the first Blind Vows set with Lucy and Heath's story. It was also filled with twists and turns and I knew this one would be too. That's just the way that JM Witt writes and I wouldn't have it any other way!
Odysseus or "O" was injured in the war and is in physical therapy when he runs into Des. He knows he has to do whatever he can to be with her. Unfortunately, she has "been there, done that" with a former patient and it didn't turn out well. She swears that she will never put herself in that position again. If you read the first Blind Vows series, you know how persuasive and persistent those Kerrigan brothers can be. O is no different! There is no shortage of suspense, angst, steamy sex, and of course a bit of humor. I love the banter back and forth between O and Des and even with Will!
This is another must-read from JM Witt and I am eagerly awaiting Will's story!
Body Heart Soul is the second book in the Blind Vows series. In it we meet O—Odysseus Kerrigan, a wounded war veteran who has given up on love. Then there is Desiree Green, one of O’s physical therapists. She’s the first woman to see him as whole, not focusing on what was missing. But she has her own issues, and a past that keeps getting in the way.
Des and O face a lot of demons, and a few twists and turns, on their way to finding one another. It’s surprising to see how well the two survive the struggles they go through to stay together. There’s plenty of action and strife, suspense, and some naughty scenes that add life to the story. I love the romance as much as the rest, and seeing the two of them work together for their relationship makes the story all the more heartening.
This is the second volume in the Blind Vows series, but it is great as a stand-alone story. However, once you meet Des and O, you’ll find you want to get to know the rest of the Kerrigan brothers and the loves they find. I can’t wait for the next one to come out!
I highly recommend Body Heart Soul to anyone who likes a good romance.
Des has had a horrific past relationship, she is terrified of letting O get to close, she does not want to let him in for fear of any harm that might come to him. She believes she is to old for O and brings to much baggage along with her.
O has not had an easy go of life either, he has suffered from the war and seeks therapy for his woes. He meets and finds a true supporter in Des and falls quickly for her compassion and passion.
I absolutely loved how this family interacts with each other and how they come together to fight the good fight for their familial bonds.
Thank you baby doll, great series so far! xoxo
