The coffee maker is made from stainless steel, double wall design with a vacuum seal for maximum heat retention. It has a closable lid with a stopper for the opening. The slip-proof silicone band around them comes in different colours.
To use: add 3-4 tablespoons coarse ground coffee, preferred milk and sweetener, and hot water to the mug. Stir contents, replace lid with plunger up and go. After 4 minutes press down the plunger and enjoy.

If you're thinking of pressing the coffee in this and pouring it into another mug to actually drink, again this does not work, as the press is attached to the lid and it has no spout on the side, so you end up having to tilt the coffee press resulting in grains in your coffee.
Far better to save your money and buy the French press shown next to it which works a treat (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01CQWPYIM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_B1P9ybYJB5E32)
On a separate note, the cup itself looks very nice, it keeps drinks boiling hot for at least an hour, but it's not really suitable for travel unless you can hold it. It comes with a French press lid and a regular lid. Both leak if not kept upright.
In summary, if you are looking for a nice-looking (albeit expensive) mug to keep your hot drinks warm in the office/at home (no travel), then perhaps use it with the regular lid and it looks great. Please save your money otherwise.

Absolutely useless, used with loose leaf tea and the plunger left large amounts of tea leaves floating about making it undrinkable. Sent back immediately for a refund.Published 3 hours ago by Kelly
This is a very clever idea but I don't think it's worthy of 5stars as the filter stops an inch before the bottom and traps a lot of coffee. Read morePublished 11 days ago by George Payne
Great idea, badly made! I have had two now and the both broke with in a month. Also the plunger disk bit lets the grounds escape into the drink so you have a gritty drink. Read morePublished 12 days ago by F.Rodrigues
Love this, perfect for those who love fresh coffee on the go. I add the milk before the hot water and don't put it in the dishwasher as the insulating layer cracked on my last one... Read morePublished 18 days ago by Amazon Customer
