Raspberry Premium Mobile USB Microphone
A Vocal Studio in the Palm of Your Hand
Raspberry is the ultimate mobile condenser microphone for voice and instruments. Informed by Blue’s illustrious studio heritage, Raspberry delivers dramatic, 24-bit studio-quality sound directly to your PC, Mac, iPhone or iPad. Raspberry’s new, patent-pending Internal Acoustic Diffuser (IAD) design resembles treatments found in studios and concert halls, focusing your voice or instrument while minimising the sound of the room. Like a portable vocal studio in the palm of your hand, Raspberry gives you professional results—everywhere you go.
Go Anywhere. Sound Incredible
Raspberry is designed to help you sound your best—no matter where you are. The integrated stand and plug-and-play operation help you start creating immediately. Pristine 24-bit audio lets you record and stream professional projects. Connect your headphones right into Raspberry for real-time, no latency monitoring of your recording. And the included soft-suede carrying pouch and compact form factor make it easy to move effortlessly between recording locations.
Blue Studio Legacy Goes Mobile
Raspberry takes your mobile content creation to the next level with a custom-designed capsule developed from Blue’s legacy of high-end studio microphones. The incredibly dynamic condenser capsule was specifically tuned to sound great up close or at tabletop distance—giving you optimal sound wherever you choose to place the mic. Raspberry’s patented premium capsule technology prevents distortion and delivers the clarity of a large-diaphragm studio microphone in a small, portable format.
The Many Flavors of Raspberry
Raspberry is the ultimate microphone for the mobile creator. Raspberry sets up in seconds with its integrated stand, giving you the power to create how you want, where you want. Record podcasts and interviews on location, live stream special events, or capture voice-overs, audio for YouTube, and music anywhere from home to hotel.
Bring Your Sound Into Focus
Raspberry’s new, patent-pending Internal Acoustic Diffuser (IAD) design resembles treatments found in studios and concert halls. By diffusing noise and reflections as they enter the microphone, IAD focuses your voice or instrument while minimising the sound of the room, so you get the results of a professional studio—wherever you are.
Protect Your Recordings
Recording on-the-go means setting up at a host of different locations. In order to minimise handling noise and table rumble, Raspberry’s integrated stand features a connection insulator and rubber shock absorber feet. These components minimise contact with the desktop and isolate the microphone from vibrations and noise that can ruin your recordings.
Many Ways to Play
No matter which side of the tech fence you’re on, Raspberry has you covered. Connect to your favourite device and start creating fast, with plug-and-play operation for PC, Mac, iPhone and iPad and included USB and Lightning cables. And a 1/4” thread mount allows you to connect Raspberry to a variety of camera and video tripods—perfect for recording audio for YouTube videos.
For best performance, plug Raspberry directly into your computer’s USB port. Avoid using a USB hub.

It is connectable directly not only to desktop computers but to smart phones and pads, producing extraordinary results with true portability and convenience.
There are knobs for recording volume level and earphone monitoring level. The recording level knob doubles as a mute button but will make an audible click unfortunately. You can plug earphones directly into the mic to monitor without timelag as you go. It comes with a very practical stand attached which folds neatly in to cradle the body when not in use. The stand can be removed and the mic can be screwed onto a full size mic stand.
I am a singing acoustic guitar player and I have been mostly using the mic to record vocals or/and guitar to Garageband on the Mac. It does a fantastic job. Guitar sound is warm and realistic. Vocals are clear without being too bright. I've used it solo to capture instrument and voice together or teamed it with a Samson mic to split the duties. Its a breeze to get terrific results. I don't do any spoken word or vlogging myself but I think it would be perfect for such use.
Much is made in the marketing spiel about the Internal Acoustic Diffuser which apparently helps cut out background sounds and focuses on whatever you are recording - the voice or the instrument. The microphone doesn't seem bad for background noise but is it this much trumpeted doodad that is responsible? I have my doubts. I have used lots of mics without this feature and we got along fine.
One improvement I would like to see is the addition of some kind of visual scale on the volume level nobs. You can't tell by looking where your settings are at. I think a lot of people will know where they want their levels once they are used to the mic and its a pest not being able to just dial them up.
I am going to sound a bit shallow now but there is no denying that papa likes pretty things. This is an extremely cute item. The design is a perfect balance of retro touches and modern practicality without getting too kitsch. It does have the look of the kind of old mic Elvis or James Brown would have clutched. The feelgood factor extends to the packaging - Raspberry and its bits and bobs arrive in the kind of "ta-dah" box reminiscent of Apple or really expensive whisky. The first unboxing is an event!
For it to be worth your while buying the Raspberry you really need to be taken by its portability. For desktop use at home there are much cheaper mics that perform just as well. Blue's own Yeti is fuller-featured than the Raspberry and £80 cheaper. It is however much larger.
Yes the Raspberry is a nice sounding mic but what it really brings to the party is its small size and weight. If thats not a critical factor for you then you could save youself some cash by buying another mic.
My son is really into YouTube’ing his gameplay, he has ideas about being a gaming YouTuber for is job!!! (don’t think I can listen to anymore StampyLongNose!!) Using this mic through windows 10 he tells me it’s the best.
More to my approval he’s getting into his guitar playing, as he matures I think he see’s the ability to play and instrument and sing as a great life skill. Because the mic is really portable he takes it along with his iPad to his friend’s house where a few of them get together in their band. It travels well in the suede pouch provided.
From the feedback he has given me this mic really is the business, from my point of view it seemed expensive but I can see it is really well made and robust. I’ve listened to some of his playback and it does sound really crisp and clear without distortion or background noise.
Reading all the positive reviews on Amazon.com really convinced me that this was a good product, even though my review probably doesn’t do the technical elements justice I thought it fair to share my positive feedback for others.
