I thought this was book #1. It's A COMIC BOOK!! Though my 13yr old daughter LOVED it. It is a nice little something extra if reading the series.

The blue bloods its one of my favorite series and i have read it countless times so when i saw that they made a graphic novel i had to buy it immediately. It wasn't exactly like the book but it gave me the same exiting feeling of love, heartbreak, and mystery that in the original letter-printed version made me fall in love with the story. Although i don't think the artwork did any justice to many of the characters specially Jack.

This book was well-written and drawn to portray the characters. They were sketched just as I imagined them to be in my mind and it was awesome to see everything from the first book drawn out. Now I really should not say everything because it does not go through the first novel in its entirety which I was sad about but then realized that it would have to be huge to do any more. I do not know if Cruz is planning on making more but I sincerely hope so! I read it in less than an hour and have re-read it many times since! I love the Blue Bloods series as a whole and while some of the accompanying novels have been just o/k this one is well worth the money!
Fun book to complete a set

I love seeing the characters that I have imagined for months while reading these wonderful books come to life, in a sense, in a graphic novel. It is no way the same thing as reading the book but it is a nice change, plus you get pictures to boot. The only thing I do wish for is a longer graphic novel. I know that is probably besides the point, but it seemed that this one was just too short - or it could be that I love the series so much that I just wanted more. You will have to read it to decide for yourself, but if you like the series, you will like this book as well.

I bought this graphic novel at the same time I purchased, Gates of Paradise, the final book to this series, and I must say, re-reading through this was way more enjoyable and allowed me the chance to revisit the reasons as to why I loved this series at it's conception. It was nice to receive some artwork to accompany this first book of the Blue Blood series. Schulyer was pretty much how I would have imagined but I think Charles, lol, was a bit different than I expected or envisioned in my mind.
