It took 1 game to get the game mechanics down to pat and they were so simple it was unbelievable. The game is played over 5 rounds and the idea is to gain fans along the way (fans = points) at the end of the 5 rounds the player with the most fans is the winner, and just because you win the blood bowl trophy does,nt mean you have won the season. You need a small amount of forward planning more with 3 or 4 players but nothing an average 10 year old couldnt cope with. Decisions you make along the way will decide if you get better upgrades or even the chance to play the upgrades, a little bit of luck comes in to play with the upgrades and a small amount of dice throwing to resolve tackles. The game rewards cheating (within the rules though) but not all cheating is rewarded successfully after all cheats should not prosper too much.
You get 6 teams to choose from and each has its own positive and minus points. The races are Human, Orc, Scaven, Wood elf, Dwarf and Chaos.
If you want a simple fun game that is a joy to play, then go for it. I do hope that upgrades/expansion come along if only so we can play as undead.
Was it money well spent...YES IT WAS.
Its simple, easy to learn and a joy to play!!!
For those who were addicted to this game (like me) when it was played with tons and tons of led miniatures on a card board, with dozens of dice, Team Manager is a way to revisit those times. Making you reming stories of epic games and memorable heroes and players :).
For those who never knew what Warhammer Blood Bowl was, getting the opportunity to know some of its characters is also great.
I bought this as a Christmas gift for my son, and since then it has been a huge success! Not only among his friends (12 year olds), but also among the eldarly ones :) Now everybody want to join the game and have a great time tackling and injuring the other's players, cheating and scoring more and more fans!!!! :) It has strategy of couse, and everybody wants to win in the end obviously, but even tho it has that "competition factor", what really caught me was the fact that everybody had a great time playing it, and laughing was almost a constant during each game! Its defenetly a great game, very simple to get into the pace of it, even for very casual players, whom usually end up asking where can it be bought! :)
Can't wait for the Sudden Death Expansion!! :)
Heartily recommend this: you can play a whole game in an hour with 2 players - takes a bit longer with more, but it's even more fun.
The rules are easy to pick up with some good animated tutorials online. Sadly a lot of the players skills on the cards don't work in the same way as they do in actual BloodBowl and this can be somewhat frustrating at first.
Basically a card interpretation of the game where you can play a season in a shorter sitting. Very fun whether you two players or four. I personally find it better to play as I don't like playing the original very often so you know someone who loves the game a lot more than you do, try this with them!

I loved the original Bloodbowl ball game, and this is no less fun. The game play is significantly different, but remains true to the Bloodbowl game. Read morePublished on 24 Oct. 2013 by Mr T D Amos
Great game here.
All the fun of a Bloodbowl league, without the tedium.
A nice blend of hand-management and deck building - the plays are always tense. Read more
