Caught a program about Blondie on tv recently and heard Maria - must have heard it when it was new but don't really remember it Decided i just had to have it so bought this album. Lots of great tracks here, even if Denis is missing.

HASH(0x973396a8) out of 5 stars Excellent Live Album! 14 Dec. 2005
By Jon Nelson - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
What a great album- Debbie Harry sounds great, the band livens up the songs, and there's a variety of songs from the Blondie era for everyone. All the big hits are here, starting with the one-two punch of Dreaming and Hanging on the Telephone, along with great versions of Atomic, Forgive and Forget, Maria, Shayla, Sunday Girl, Rapture, X Offender, No Exit, Heart of Glass, One Way or Another, and my personal favorite song on this CD, The Tide is High, one of those rare songs that actually benefits from audience sing-a-longs! The only disappointment here is Call Me, but let's face it, the song just isn't meant to be sang live. If you like Blondie, you'll love this Live CD!
HASH(0x9f6503a8) out of 5 stars blondie still rules 3 Mar. 2008

there's always a place for studio recordings but there's something about a live performance that can't be beat. blondie was great in her prime and years later, she still rocks. i'd give it a 4.5 if i knew how only because i want MORE! like some of the talk between blondie and the crowd. her voice is still instantly recognizable and her attitude comes through; just wonderful.
HASH(0xa1a623e4) out of 5 stars Blondie having more fun 17 July 2007
By David Hill - Published on Amazon.com

Blondie were always more than the peroxide Debbie Harry used to maintain her blondeness. This album records a real band playing real fun music. Time to get out all the new wave records and pogo round the living room.

I just hope the neighbors aren't watching.

This concert CD follows Blondie's best studio effort in years, "No Exit." I do wonder if that title is an homage to Jean-Paul Sartre from the quietly uber intelligent Deborah Harry. This album contains most of the tunes from "No Exit", with a stand out rendition of "Maria." Of course Blondie are veterans of the stage and I am sure the audience included many of their faithful as well as many new fans as a result of the success of the single release of "Maria."
As veterans of the stage, they certainly don't disappoint. I have always held that almost any decent group of rock musicians can produce a decent studio effort, with all the technical tricks available today. The proof is in the live performance, in my opinion.Blondie belongs to that unique group of performers whose live performances far outshine their studio efforts. I can cite others if you like: The Allman Brothers, esp. in the early days, the noe deceased Irish legend, Rory Gallagher, Susan Tedeschi with her own band as well as with the Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Joanne Shaw Taylor come to mind, and you can throw in Ani DiFranco as well.
Back to the album at hand. Blondie can play their asses off and with no sign of age. Their renditions of the new material do them proud. Knowing their audience well, they include a healthy dose of the songs that got them there, with a performance of "Rip Her To Shreds," that is quite crowd pleasing and nearly heart-stopping. (That's me showing MY age.) This concert is a balls-to-the-wall masterpiece. They just don't slow down. Most important to me, they prove they still have "it" as live performers and musicians. This CD is a must-have for all Blondie fans and fans of live performance. If you haven't already, GET IT!
