As a veteran wargamer, I couldn't have been more pleased when one of my offspring showed a keen interest in my miniatures and suchlike. Unfortunately I have neither the time nor space to paint miniatures and play wargames on a large scale, so we had to look for alternatives...and this fits the bill perfectly. The rules aren't overly complex, and the gameplay area is, comparatively, compact. The miniatures also come prepainted, which saves time and mess.
All in all, it's a perfect way into a wider hobby.
